I fear for the skill level in BW SPL from here out. With everything switching to SC2, there is no reason for BW gamers to even touch the game.
In a way, I am super excited because now jd/flash/bisu will be focusing 100% on starcraft 2; however, it will be hard to let go of BW. A game that has been a part of my life for over a decade.

Perhaps we as a foreign community should also honor this End of an Era with some event similar to the series of legends showmatches by OGN.
How about a BW tournament with all famous foreigners in BW? Eg: Grrr, Elky, Idra, Nony, Ret, Day[9], Tasteless, Artosis, Incontrol etc. Could be epic?

GoodBye BW! And Congrats SC2. Even though i did not follow the bw scene it is still sad for me bec this is such a good game. But Times change and we must go with the flow. And this is for the survivial of Starcraft esports as well. Outside korea almost no one plays BW bec they prefer games with much better graphics. So I think it is just about time :D

I'm too young to have known bw but i'm very sad it's gone. I don't know, I just kind of presumed both games would coexist. Very sad.

Ive been wondering for quite a while whether its a good idea to let legit sc2 players play. I'm pretty sure that bw pros, or at least most of em won''t be ready to compete with sc2 pros by that time. On one hand its obvious that they need bigger player pool and some quality of games, but on the other hand GSL still will be king and OGN's only upperhand - the bw hype - will disappear if their players will get owned by sc2 pros. Unless the players close the gap.
