07:06 KST - method linked here has been disproved here 10:54 KST - Find a full timeline of pro comments (including Spades) in the topic here. 08:47 KST - Summary: Accusations of maphacking have the potential to destroy a player's career if left unaddressed. Because of the potential consequences, we should be careful about accepting unproven accusations. The principle of 'innocent until proven guilty' should be applied here. That does not mean that there has been a conclusion about this case, however, which is why this thread remains tentatively open. Please discuss with caution and use evidence to back up your claims. This is the problem in my eyes. Its impossible to prove that someone is a hacker, but at the same time its also impossible for someone to prove he is not a cheater unless he records himself playing..... basically with a camera from behind. Now when I think about it thats what Spades should do, in the next showmatch he should ask someone to record him playing. Blizzard should realize this is a big problem. There needs to be a way to 100% say if someone is cheating or not.

Other pros have written well reasoned responses and if you really wanted to add your professional two cents to the thread you should have done so as well.

The only real solution to this lies with blizzard and getting an anti-cheat/ban system that is better and more efficient. Unfortunately, in all games there is, and will be cheating. We can only hope that the anti-cheat is as good as possible and makes it as difficult as possible for players to find and use them without consequence.

Antiga: Scv getting denied by marines up the ramp. Fast reaction pulling back, but that should be expected from good players. Sends it back home while looking at the area. Entombed: Sends scv to the geyser lucifron has refinery at. Doesn't look at it once to see gas timing. First selecting after sending it out is when its already a bit on the way to 2nd rally. Lucifron went refinery rax. Metal: Sends scv and lets it bug by Lucifron's wall for a little while before sending it back home. Slow reaction. Lucifron went rax refinery. Tal'darim: Scouts first gas, not close enough to look at second gas even though he microes the scv towards it and back. Lucifron went gasless expand. Daybreak: Sends out scv, reaches base and briefly look at it and sends it home. Only 1 gas checked. Lucifron went gasless expand. Shattered: Sends out scv, reaches lucifrons base and microes it to look gas. Lucifron went gas refinery. Shakuras: 0 scv scout I have not seen neither vods of Spades or replays of him, so I don't know his scouting habits. But in my eyes his scouting seems quite a bit fishy: 2 games vs gasless expand: Both games he didn't check both gasses. 2 games vs refinery builds: One game the scv is sent on rally command to the gas that Lucifron started before Spades sent out scout. One game where he microes scv to scout far away gas. 1 game with denied scout. 1 game 15cc without scout. 1 game vs walled ramp. Slow reaction sending scv home without looking at it. But again. I have no idea about Spades usual scouting habits. Maybe someone with more knowledge about him as a player could chime in. But for me it seems really sloppy to not check both gasses in the games Lucifron went gasless. Also he always scouts gasses when Lucifron went gas builds. And not to mention that he almost never looks at his scout scv.

The thing that looks fishy imo are the camera locks at the edge of the fog of war, but he macros during that time or giving other comands... If i had to put this into numbers i'd say 60%-40% he is not cheating. He might be hacking but he is not obviously hacking so i say hold your pitchforks until a ladder replay of him surfaces where he has his guard down.

Yet he almost immediately comes to Spades rescue and immediately attempts to absolve him of hacking after this thread was made. You could make that sort of statement about most pro posts on TL: they don't seem post in large amounts on the forum, except when it's something that either involves them or interests them, and then when they do it surprises you because their relative absence beforehand makes their quick response to that specific post seem unlikely. This is probably because pros are more noticeable than other posters who might behave the same way, which if you did notice, you would guess that they browsed the forum regularly but only appear when they feel like it.
