07:06 KST - method linked here has been disproved here 10:54 KST - Find a full timeline of pro comments (including Spades) in the topic here. 08:47 KST - Summary: Accusations of maphacking have the potential to destroy a player's career if left unaddressed. Because of the potential consequences, we should be careful about accepting unproven accusations. The principle of 'innocent until proven guilty' should be applied here. That does not mean that there has been a conclusion about this case, however, which is why this thread remains tentatively open. Please discuss with caution and use evidence to back up your claims. In any case I have some replays to watch before I pass any sort of judgement. Difference between hacking on ladder and hacking in a pro-level play tournament or showmatch. I think everyone needs to watch the replay's before making rash judgments, but damn this evidence seems conclusive to me.

No wonder. He can't break top 5 masters sometimes but others he is a top GM player. Makes sense now.

You have a point, but how much circumstantial evidence can you have before it isn't circumstantial anymore?

That's a big giveaway to map hack... because at grandmaster level, if you don't even have the apm to micro your scouting scv, you should not be in GM. Period.

This looks pretty serious, though. Edit: It was in a recent HSC qualifier vs. Theognis. I have contacted TakeTV about getting the replays.

You are basically describing the way a low level progamer plays. Nothing you have said is conclusive and it's kinda BM to just come out and call somebody a hacker without actual proof. I've seen plenty of games where idra minimizes in the middle to talk with stream chat or w/e. So there's plenty of reasons somebody could have to not be doing anything with the camera just sitting there. The key is to see if anything is actually happening while the camera is just sitting there with no APM... like if his units are being micro'd but there's no APM. You don't think un-siegeing a fortified position to go defend a base that you did not know was soon to be attacked is suspicious? Several instances of this in the same game is not gosu game sense, it's pretty strong evidence to some sort of cheating. I know you mention that a few times Spades go for a blind counter to banshee's. Back when I was playing Terran in the prime house, it was common to see players like byun and maru go for a raven/viking, or just raven. Because Banshee is so common in the match-up, that unless you see a 1 rax fe, you are fairly sure he is going for a banshee build. So Getting a raven viking, or just a viking, or a ebay and turrents is fairly common and can't really be called map hacking. Then a few times you do say that he didn't do something he should have done etc. That just could be him making a mistake, instead of actual map hacking. I'm not saying you are wrong, but with many of these reasons, there could be other reasons for them. Like the moving marines into the xel'naga. It can be done by using the mini-map and doesn't require moving your camera. Stuff like that can often be misinterpreted.

This is pretty serious, I think his put the nail on his coffin. No team is going to want to pick up someone who hacks, let alone in a showmatch. not only hacking but hacking AGAIN. he realllly should get a lifetime ban from all sc related organizations now.
