It is time to announce 6th player of the Ministry of Win!
After a long negotiations we are happy to announce that Steven "Destiny" Bonnell II will be traveling to Poland in hunt of his dreams. You propably all know Steven as he is very popular Streamer and Player. We are pleased to work with such a person, as we can see outstanding dedication for this pursuit of game mastery.
Be prepared, Steven is going to show his potential from the middle of June.
That's sick. Nice to see Destiny working to try to take his game to the next level, was a bit worried he'd slack off after leaving Quantic and joining Root since they seemed a bit too buddy buddy in that clan :p . GG.
The only thing I am interested in is who I can send mails to tell them how angry I am because of this. Good for destiny.
Also bad OP. Should have something about MoW not being a clan but: "Ministry of Win - training facility for professional e-sport athletes. Community centre."
I think this will be a good chance for him to perfect his game. Great personality but has sometimes been slacking on the game, hope to see that change for the better.
maybe he will dedicate some time to sc2 instead of the random games he streams for hours on end. Doesn't seem right that he is featured when he is playing LoL and arma.
Destiny on EU ladder hide yo kids hide yo wife only kidding not much will happen but still fun to see him coming to EU. The MOW actually is an awesome place and what a deal like 1 time fee and you are set and get to play SC2 a lot that is just cool.

EDIT: NOOOOOOOO was not the 1st person to post on TL booo well got the 1st on FACEBOOK ^_^
Did I just read that correctly, did you just make a 'first!' post?
Good Luck to Destiny and I hope this time its the right fit.
Considering he has to pay 500 euro's rent to live there and how much he makes by just streaming this is such a good idea. If I recall correctly players who stream via own3d.tv also get extra ad revenue just by living in that house? That would make it even better.

Middle of June? That's right when the European football championship is on the way... Steven is secretly just a footy fan and will be going to live matches whenever he can... Seriously, he should at least visit one, this is a kinda unique opportunity...

This. It seems like a waste to me.
Ya and those Dota 2 and Diablo players, I thought this was a Starcraft site.

Yes, that's true. However, they are not going to live in MoW House, we are providing apartment in the city centre for them.

Don't know if stupid or just trolling.
Well if you can't tell by now, You might be stupid.
Sickest pick-up! Probably one of the most talented players out there, only hidden by its relative unpopularity. Sooo underrated, make his stream featured plz TL lol, he could be Code S caliber, as I believe he trained in Korea for a while, taking games off...eh, I don't recall exactly, but he did play some ladder there. I'll be following him, it would be so sick if he also joined Prime. He could be...the Prime Minister of Win. NAILED IT!
Destiny has gone to Korea and came back without improving much. Don't get how this gaming house is going to help him out more than him training in Korea.

Ministry of Win? More like Ministry of Zerg. And that would still be a better name.
Good luck over there though Steven, hope you do well, altough I'm not sure how much improvement this will gain you. It will certainly be something different I guess however, which is cool too. To adventure!
What does MoW get from this? I mean they are offering free gaming house in Poland (where it is very easy to travel from around Europe) . Sounds to nice to be true...

It is not free. I think it is 600$/month, if I remember correctly.

considering how many people are now awared of MoW, I won't call it too nice to be honest. I for one have never heard of this until now.
On June 02 2012 21:37 kAelle_sc wrote: house is great, how much to live there and other requirements?
It depends, every player is an individual case. You can have a lot of potential but no conditions to work and practice that much as you would like to. We are looking for promising and already good, well known and respected players.
Actually, Snute is already a very good player, one of the most promising players I have discovered. He already made a big progress and that's just the first week that he is staying in the Ministry of Win. Yesterday, he won Playhem Daily and 2-0'd GoOdy in the finals, where he was losing to him most of the time before.

Err... what...? What does Destiny hope to achieve with moving to Europe? :o Sure, the players in Europe are much better than the players on NA, however if he wants to travel to another country to practise, why not Korea again?

maybe he just wants a change of scenery. I imagine Korean team houses to be difficult as a foreigner, unless you are exceptionally resilient, or have other foreigners with you. naniwa spoke of the isolation you can sometimes feel.

Nah, we don't get it actually. Can you promise us that there won't be a thread "Destiny DOES join MoW"?
lol I think what they're trying to say that this thread is announcing that Destiny will move in to the Ministry of Win house. Maybe it will be a new thread when he arrives in Poland with a title like Destiny joins the Ministry of Win house. "Joins" basically means "moves in" in this case, not rocket science really

They've already finalized the deal, the only part left is him moving in and it's pretty common practice to announce a player moving somewhere before he actually does so. (See X going to Korea etc.)
About some opinions that this is not a good idea for players I disagree. We don't want to say that we are the best possible gaming house all around the world, but this is the most serious project in our lives and we are very dedicated to it. What we want to achieve is to make the best possible training facilities outside Korea. Time will show if we will succed and make even better conditions for gamers than there or not, however, we strongly believe that we know what we are doing and this undertaking has every chance to succeed. With passion and love for the game we have outsdanding plans that we are going to make it happen.
What's distinguishing us from the others?
We are not a teamhouse or "gaming house" in the meaning of community understanding. WE ARE a professional training facility for computer games players and we do provide much more than other initiatives. Sometimes that's the things yet untapped to the e-sports but for professional athletes - football players and all the other sports, sometimes that's some yet unknown for everyone. Stay tuned, there is something to wait for!

Its an announcement that he is going to live in a team house. Can you people stop picking at things that aint there and just take this as the only announcement?
Anyway, GL Steven, enjoy the footy too
Edit - Seriously for anyone who wants to pick away, an 'announcement of an announcement' would be something like
POST: Hey guys, we are about to announce something soon.
Then posting the announcement in another thread.
This thread is not an announcement of an announcement.

Along with Arma 2 (DayZ mod). This actually seems to take up most of the stream time. Which I'm okay with, since it's really entertaining to watch him and his buddies play. It's actually more entertaining than watching his group play this than SC2. It's hilarious!
And some LoL after all that.

Not even. It was a few weeks. :/ He doesn't like to be away from his kid for too long.
I'm confused. Why does he want to do this? Is he getting payed for it? He's said on his stream that he already makes a lot of money. I mean, he returned from Korea, why would he want to go to Poland just to live with some european players?

Because Poland is in center of Europe , its close to dreamhack and other Eu tournaments , Eu ladder is better then NA also. Other thing is his GF and baby , will be in Poland to , life is cheap in Poland to if you have dollars or euro
Ps. I think Destiny will come to Home Story cup 5 also , its close to Germany from Poland Ps. And maby Destiny likes football ? Euro 2012 Starts in Poland at june 8

Unless ROOT is paying it is quite the opposite. You PAY to be in the ministry of win... But he has a ton of fans who are gonna be dedicated to watching his progression so they will be paying for his stay through ad revenue and donations. I think he wants to do this more than Korea because he will have his family with him which will make him less homesick.

If he really wanted to get better at SC2 he wouldn't play LoL so much.
I don't play Unreal Tournament if I want to get good at Quake etc.
Right now Destiny seemed content to just play whatever was fun to him and have a bunch of people watching him do it. If he's going to go back into serious hardcore SC2 mode then good luck to him, but he shouldn't flirt with the idea of hitting the top level of SC2 while playing LoL all the time, that just ends up looking silly.
Best of luck to him with this, it'll 'succeed' since he's popular (and therefore the money is secured to pay for all of it). Whether it will help him step up another level (or if he even wants to) will be something we'll have to wait and see.
The real question is, will he play on EU West or EU East? :p
I think this is good for him. It kinda forces him to focus on SC2 instead of messing around with LoL or any other game. At least it shows that he's interested in stepping up his game, if not only for himself then at least for the sake of ROOT.

You know whats more cancerous? People emailing sponsors over things that should've been kept in house rather then made public. You're allowed your opinion but here's the thing he's also a decent player contrary to what those who hate him say. There's a reason he went to Korea and it wasn't cause he was bad. He did come back a little better though it's tough to see results of training in Korea with the little time he had over there. You really need to cool your engines sir and just give him well wishes since this is a thread stating him going over there otherwise just don't post this here on here. So just quit the negativity persistent negativity only hurts the fragility of sc2 as an esport. I saw SC2 almost every time I saw him stream from Korea... He played LoL a bit before he went to bed, but that's about it. :/
He got help from ST.Tiger on his ZvP A LOT and he was talking with Naniwa a whole bunch while he was streaming. Was funny.

There's nothing wrong with playing other games, you know.. There's plenty of amazing games out there, give them a shot!
I'd rather watch destiny stream dayz and talk about carpeting cleaning stories than watch some robot korean in low quality blaring k-pop and playing 300 ads after every all-in game
Damn that's a pretty big transition for his family to move to Poland... Good luck to Destiny though I think he can really show some good games if he combines his creativity with a lot of practice to get mechanics to a super high level.

where does it say his family is moving to poland? I would think he would go alone?
He has been saying this on stream for a while now. I think the games he is playing now he is getting out of his system before he goes hardcore on SC2 while he is at the house. Also, he said he wants to go see his kid again before he leaves so he has much bigger priorities than SC2 now.
You might be very excited to learn that Destiny has bamboozeled yet another team into taking him! He will inevitably do nothing in any major tournament and start playing random games on steam!
I used to enjoy watching Destiny play, when I thought he might actually do something some day, but he is very, very content to just stream, and thats when I stopped caring. I mean, good luck to him, but I wish much better luck to MoW. Its a gamble taking this guy on your team with his track record - that's just the truth.

He mentioned not seeing his kid and having his kid not remember his face ( cause he is gone frequently and children's memories are not developed till ~ 2 years ) pains him greatly ( bit redundant to say I guess ). I don't want to speak for him or anything but he may have mentioned something like this ( bringing his kid and rachel with him or just his kid ) and it isn't too far-fetched.

I mean, good luck to him, but I wish much better luck to MoW. Its a gamble taking this guy on your team with his track record - that's just the truth.
Only flaw in your argumentation is that Minestry of Win isn't a fucking team.

They don't like people to brag about being "1st" on a post. It doesn't add much to a discussion and doesn't serve a purpose. It's posted in the rules I think.

Because its dumb to post "first" Let it go once and everybody will do it.
So he's gonna move to Poland? And if not, why not point your arrows at some1 who is?
You even read some post's ? or justmake same questions over and over agine ?

Spell check is funny when people use it to make words like ''post's''.
Either way, guess i read over that. Cool to see him make the effort and actually go to the team house in Poland.

It's not a team house, guys, please.
Ministry of Win represents a brand new approach to the professional e-sports scene, being first such initiative not only in Poland – but also in central Europe and even the whole world. It is recognizing gamers as professional athletes and seeking to provide them with the best possible training and living facilities. Created by a dynamic and young team, it sets out to change the professional gaming paradigm by closely linking e-sports community to players’ pursuit of game mastery.
By inviting StarCraft 2 players from all over the world, our initiative creates a rare opportunity for synergy between players and development of their skills. The lodgings provided to the prospective house dwellers are of highest European standard. Players will live in a villa of 450 m2, built in 2011 to the best choice of materials and designs. Maximum of 12 players will live in the house at any given time, improving their skills under a watchful eye of a professional StarCraft 2 coach(es), aided by a full-time house manager as well as a cook and a cleaner.
It is professional training facility for pro-gamers, not a team house.

So i don't really get it.
Besides team houses in Korea work DUE to coaches and strict training times.
Just playing and talking with like minded people can very well be done comfortably from your own home over the internet with skype and what not.
maybe you lot can keep him focused on SC2 instead of LoL and Arma. great addition and look forward to seeing what he will be able to do after some solid practicing

That's the main thing of this training facility. Check this thing once again
Maximum of 12 players will live in the house at any given time, improving their skills under a watchful eye of a professional StarCraft 2 coach(es), aided by a full-time house manager as well as a cook and a cleaner.
We are making a professional training center, which means that we train people living here personally and peculiarly. We are going to use techniques yet unknown for e-sports, but known for professional athletes already.
By focusing on each player and his progress individually, giving him the best possible environment for improvement, we believe that our methods will be effective and will improve the skill acquisition by players.

This sounds so professional. I'm a firm believer in Destiny's skills, if he can focus on the game and have a good environment he will be a very strong foreign player.

Sounds nice. Which top rts player is doing these in-depth game analyses for the players?
Ps mid june is a good time to go to Poland, European Championship will be in Poland/Ukraine at that time (football).
Im not sure im so glad Destiny is joining MoW tbh. To me he seems unprofessional, badmannered, loud and not much eager for improvement. I think there is a lot of players who deserve the spot before him. I hope he proves me wrong.
This has really confused me, I saw this thread pop up a while ago, then; shortly after, all of destiny's stuff changed to ROOTDestiny, including his TL username.
It seems the name Ministry of win confuses a lot of people. Somehow ministry of win sounds like a team, not like a school / training facility. University of win would have been a much better name imo
I always wonder about Destiny's potential, he has had the oppurtunity to train with a lot of different teams and people but seems to lose focus and meander about, playing games like League and ARMA. There is nothing wrong with this at all except for the fact that it detracts from his pro career. Maybe this stay in poland will be what it takes for him to kick it into gear and win some cups or something- hoping the best for Destiny, would be nice to see some NA talent represent.
Well as he said, he is content to get money from selling adds to stream viewers. His skill level needs to be just high enough to not lose games like a noob. Also his DayZ playsessions are more fun then his Sc2 playsessions, especially since there are so many quality sc2 progamers on at all times of the day.
I don't really understand the aura this guy has, he is a low to mid tier pro. That wouldn't ever win anything of worth. He's no better than any other regular grand master. Most of people that watch his stream watch it for the antics and other bullshit on it. Don't hate because i expressed my opinion on him.. even though they are all true.

Yes and shitting on a guy in a thread about him doing something good for once is also as unexceptionable as you think he is. How about this if you have absolutely nothing nice to say especially in a guys own thread how about in the future you just say nothing? I realize this is taught when you're like 10 or younger but you really should take that into consideration some time. Just say good job I hope you take the opportunity that has been presented to you seriously or something cause he should and it sounds like he really will. It's not like he hasn't tried to better his game before he went to Korea an came back a smidge better had he been able to stay longer he probably would've come back a whole lot better like I'm sure he will come back from Poland when he leaves there. So please just keep your hatred down on posts that are at least expressing someone is doing something good for themselves.

he is actually a pretty good player. the reason he isnt the best he could be is because he plays a shit ton of other games like LoL and Dayz with the occasional console game/emulator here and there. he is not a full time SC2 player, and despite that he is able to play at a GM level on NA and a masters lvl on korea. some ppl are struggling just to stay in masters while being "full time".
if he dedicates all his time to SC2, which is what he is going to do, he will be pretty top of the line imo. of course he wont be stephano quality or something, but still pretty good. he would have to give up other games tho which sadly i dont think he will do.

If you only care about watching the absolute best, no reason to follow anyone but a select few koreans.

Thing is, he always had a great potential and thats a fact, that guy was way up in metagame by himself playing with shitload of infestors when it wasnt common AT ALL, he still rolled with it, and got some pretty huge wins, even vs great koreans, so yeah, I wouldnt call that a low tier pro, he might be lacking practice, and yes, he is way too popular compared to his actual skill level, but people dont watch streams 100% for the game all the time, Destiny is a really interesting and funny guy, so he gets a shitload of views yeah. But it's too easy to shit on his play because of that, he is part of the few guys in the US that can make it to the "top" (not saying "GO TO KOREA Destiny you're gonna own them all" either), he proved it, now will he really train hardcore and get back into the scene, thats up to him. As far as i'm concerned, I dont watch him play SC2 that much anymore, but I do love watching him play DayZ, as he is one of the very few really fun streamer to watch on this game, and I'm no fan boy or whatever, but still, people should recognize potential and intelligent play when they see one, instead of just find a thread on TL and shit on him

1) Cross server play 2) Playing against somebody you don't even know and hard to get research on.
That pattern happened too many times to count already. Koreans dropping series against foreigners is not the wonder anymore. It went way back when qxc killed Genius, Adel defeated Mvp, Goody eliminated Nestea,........ Nowaday, you hardly find a Korean that never loses to foreigners. Hell, even Incontrol used to take game off Apocalypse and a series off Sleep...
Destiny is low/mid tier progamer, that's just a fact. He hasn't won anything or anybody for quite sometimes now.
Anyway, I thought Destiny decided not to go to MoW already?

Dunno why people come in here just to say things like that, Destiny never claimed he was some high level pro or something, not sure why there is so much hate surrounding this, do you people simply feel that another person should have the spot? Just being bitter for no reason? It's like going up to a disabled guy and saying "Hey man, you're crippled, that's just a fact."
So many haters, Destiny seems like a good guy and I hope he does well in Poland if he does decide to go, he definitely doesn't work very hard but he has very good mechanics and could be one the the best NA players if he finds any passion for the game
Destiny has never been as 'good' as a lot of peoples' expectations of a pro gamer, but he's entertaining as hell and I fucking love him for that. Destiny is the beast. Good luck and all the best to him in the MoW.

Anybody from high master/gm can take games off of pros, that doesn't mean they are "good".
wow he is really playing starcraft2? i thought he was all about trolling/streaming LoL/Drama etc..gl in Poland. MoW sounds like an really great place to be!

He didn't take games, he won series against these players. I don't think Destiny is a very good player in the major scheme of things, but he definitely deserves to be called a pro.

Pretty sure if you can take a game or series off of a professional in any sport or game, then you are atleast "good".
Get real. How "good" do you have to be before you are considered to be good?

In a context of progamers -if that's the whole list of achievements- I'm sorry, but that's not good. You can like him because he has personality (another incredible achievement) but he isn't good imo.
Good luck to Destiny! Looking forward to watching him stream. I hope he improves his macro, it's been painful watching his low drone count/bank lately.

Not sure if trolling. Guess anyone in highmasters/gm are "good" then, whats lowtier pro's then, "supergood" and midtier pros "extremely good" and hightier pros "GOSU GOOD" and stephano "GOD GOOD"?

I never said it was ME who thought he wasn't any good. I just stated that there are some people out there who do not see him that way.
I think Destiny can really improve, he's become quite good recently. However I don't know wether the MoW will play such a huge role in Destiny becoming good or not.
The fact that he's in a team environment with solid, serious other players to practice with and keep him in line will be a huge help for his play. I'm not saying he isn't already good, but he does need more hands on practice with ppl around to coach and help. I don't understand how people keep saying being in a team house doesn't automatically help people, because it does. A lot.

The real shame is that pros like you can't even post in these forums without being hated on etc. They come to defend themselves or another pro and thats all we get to hear. It be nice if half the "wanna be pros" in these forums would talk about the game, maybe the pros would stop by and drop knowledge more often.
I'll say right off I've never been a fan of Destiny's personality, he's many of times done things that are just far far out of line and extremely insensitive.
That said the reality is for his fans is he'll probably never live up to whatever potential to improve he may have had. In this day in age it's quite difficult to overcome the hurdle from being 'good' to becoming 'great' without at least some team support. Except for maybe in a few cases were you could argue someone was a savant. If you'd argue Destiny was a savant capable of doing it on his own, he probably would have by now. Which obviously he has been unable to do so I think you can safely say on his own he wont.
I think it's fair to say he'll probably remain as his been for a while, an outspoken individual who carries X amount of following which allows him to at least exist only playing SC2. Eventually people will probably get bored of it and he'll retire out of gaming without really having truly accomplished to much.
Which at the end of the day was his choice, he chose to speak his mind all the time regardless of who he might offend and scared off every team/sponsor he's been associated with. So long as he's happy with that so be it, his fans just need to realize that's 99.9% likely to be the case.
Destiny's a good enough guy, if he actually trains in the MoW house he'll get good. After his stay in ZvP he actually got significantly better but slipped down after getting into his old routine again.
Destiny's the same as any other progamer. He just needs to practice.

Seems a bit bitter...
Destiny is a strong player on a level with many others in the lower pro ranks and it is certainly possible with some dedicated practice time at MoW he could move up in his play.
Further, I'd say having a following of size X when Destiny never won any major tournament and making a decent living off of that following is something major he has accomplished in his SC2 career (brings to mind... um... Day[9]...), something many other pros have never and will never accomplish. For instance, what is it that you have accomplished Nerski? And how much of a following or income has it got you? While a fan of you and your playing I must say that it is a shame you have to come and bad mouth Destiny.

stream is decent, plays good music and not the usual k-pop or brostep and he talks shit which can be entertaining as long as you don't take it too seriously.

Music is def a big appeal. So many streamers play godawful top 40 unimaginitive chartpop. I'm shocked that people who have to be on a computer for 8-10 hours a day and are otherwise intelligent can be enough of simpletons to tolerate that kind of garbage.

Its the ~top30(number taken out of ass on a spontaneous memory recollection of opponents faced since GM launched) that are the real beasts.
Dont forget GM is top 200 from the first 2 weeks of the season, and a lot of those are boosted accounts or mid/high-masters players on a lucky cheeserun.
Either way, someone like Destiny will make EU GM without breaking a sweat.

Considering that most Day[9] fans or Starcraft fans in general have watched his Daily#100, they would know about his accomplishments in Brood War. Obviously he was forced to leave ROOT and I can hardly remember the Complexity situation, but he and Quantic both said that it was Destiny's choice to leave in the end. And I dunno if I would go so far to call him an "attention whore" because he only does the things he does on his stream. He doesn't BM in tournaments or anything; it's angry and offended people that bring the attention to him which brings him here to make posts. :\ I extremely, mother effin highly doubt that idra is an act, btw. I don't feel like he's been faking since BW when the scene was tiny and no one gave a shit about how anyone acted (aside from cheating and being a flaming asshole). It's also not very respectable to fake 1000 posts of balance complaints since the start of WoL and not GG in tournaments when you lose to cheese or a player you hate. lol
I'll word it more elegantly. The dude's gettin dat Charlie Sheen money.

...what? I'm top 10% masters on EU while playing on average ~1 game a day since sc2 got released and meeting tons of GMs, and let me tell you this: There is little to no difference between a masters player and someone thats #30-#200 GM.
Lol, just no. Playing against low GM feels like playing against high masters, that is correct. However, going ranks higher in GM from 100 (or even from 150), you can really start feeling the difference. For example, when I still played sc2 actively I really struggled playing against Slavik when I got matched against him and he was about what, GM rank 55 ? (That was kinda random, I guess I got to play him just because it was late night and there were no opponents lol). Top top masters (pros who didn't make into GM in time) are the only exception, other than that, your statement is false.
Also, we are talking about high/top masters compared to GMs. Low and mid masters are nothing close to GM. It's like comparing silver to diamond league.
Since MoW gets a bigger ad revenue with Twitch.tv and most of the contracts include streaming and taking x% of the stream revenue, will Destiny stream to Twitch.tv again ?

That's only the case if this specific clause is included in the contract and we will not be seeing his contract any time soon.

In this day in age it's quite difficult to overcome the hurdle from being 'good' to becoming 'great' without at least some team support.
You misunderstand what I was getting at, and what I was trying to point out. Regardless of if you love or hate destiny (which I pointed out my perspective), he is what he is. Primarily someone who you'd consider a decent player who due to his personality entertains X audience and scares off most 'legit' teams.
So sure he's done decently for himself you can't argue that. However, his fans and i'm generalizing here, have a tendency to lash out at anyone who doesn't think highly of him. So the point in my post was just to give some perspective on what his fans should expect out of him.
If being part of Root, Quantic, Root again wasn't enough to get him focused and out of the lower tier of pros paying to be part of MoW (or not paying I don't know what his contract states) probably won't be the magic pill he needs. Not when the 'team' environment your surrounding yourself with isn't really truly vested in his success as a player. They are all paying to be there so largely they'll only be vested in their own success.
So the point was his fans shouldn't get their hopes way up and expect anything different of him then they've gotten before. It's unlikely he'll suddenly become saint of the community, and equally unlikely he'll suddenly become much if at all better then he has been as a player. At least not without a fairly sizable shift in how he's presented himself and how much he's focused in the past.
Does that mean i'd fault anyone for cheering for him, no to each their own. I was speaking more towards the super combative people who tend to lash out at anything that isn't praising towards him.

Our experience differs, I don't feel this difference you mention between 150 and 100 GMs, my point is that from my experience someone thats 31-200 is on the same level as someone that is #30 at any given time, what I mean by this is that season after season you see more or less the same people on top, if they are not there then they are in masters cos they didnt get into gm the first 2 weeks, and that anyone that gets into GM can also get to a certain rank within it.

Their own success is dependent on there being a "team" environment and this means that's it's vital for them to work together and share information etc, they will be helping themselves by helping each other.
Most fans of players are optimistic of their potential, you can't expect people who are fans to be pessimistic about someone they're a fan of. It seems to me like you're just trying to justify a douchy post, and both your posts reek of jealously, sorry.

Actually, Day9 won WCG NA back in 2005 playing Starcraft: Broodwar.
So I presume you mean that every Day[9] fan is some BW fanboy from 2005? C'mon man. Day[9] has done nothing but cast SC2 and most of his fans probably have no idea about WCG 2005. The context of my comment was SC2.
The thing is Day9 was basically a caster since sc2 release, he was never an sc2 player. So it's only normal he didn't win shit. It's not like Artosis, Tasteless, Apollo or djWHEAT won anything in sc2, yet they do have a fanbase. MY point being, dont put players and casters into the same box.

Yea, this pretty much sums up that relationship. MoW saw a business in gaming drama and personalities, then went and got the biggest personality in SC2. As an emerging company, you have two ways to get noticed. One, through hardwork and skill. Two, through bad-good publicity which gets the crowds who watch the kardasians on a daily basis. Most people in general are idiots. If I was going to start a company, i'd take the same route. I'd want to appeal to the '99 percent' (who are idiots).

That was pretty severe... Be careful what you say.
Nerski, many pro players have come out and said that being in a team house doesn't mean they get to play or collaborate with their teammates. Yes, they live and play side by side but they don't necessarily play together. Destiny has plenty of people he plays with. He plays with many of the pros on ladder, and he plays with his friends and ex-teammates... Just because he isn't on a team doesn't mean he can never play with those guys again.
Also, if you followed his stream while he was in Korea you would have seen how good he can get when he focuses on the game playing more than 40 games per day. It got to the point where he was beating almost every Korean Terran, and this was before the buff to zerg was released.
It just sounds like you're some random guy jumping on the hate bandwagon. "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

WIthout getting into any of the normal Destiny drama, does anyone know why he's going there? I mean good for both him and MoW, I'm glad they're happy, but I don't see what he stands to gain. MoW isn't a really a "team" so I don't see a huge practice benefit, and he was already well equipped to stream and make money that way, so what's his motivation behind going?

He wants to get better and thinks that playing in Europe and MoW is set up in such a way that he can keep making money while training?

There are some legitimately good players there, such as Ret, Morrow and Titan.
I'm sure Destiny can improve faster there than he could by grinding the NA ladder.

Oh, yeah, I don't care if you have negative things you want to say or hate him or whatever, but just leave it out of a thread that is saying, "hey, guess what! Something good is happening for this guy!" In my eyes it's not really that different than posting it in his fanclub. :\ Imagine if there was a thread for someone who was joining a team or moving to a team house and people said, "Does anyone actually think he is going to improve as a player there?" That probably isn't the right thing to say in said thread.
