Yeah, I agree. They will need to have to get money to pay for the travel expenses if they want more tip top Koreans to play in their tournament. I actually think paying for their expenses is worth it, since it brings a lot more viewers which ultimately is what the sponsors want--the more viewers who see their merchandise, the better.

Because someone has to pay for it?
However, the EU-lineup looks also really bad. Missing nearly all top players from EU.

Dreamhack will get viewers no matter what so they don't need to pay for flights for some select few koreans. It would however maybe be worth it for the korean teams to send their players since that ultimately is what sponsors want--the more viewers who see their merchandise, the better.

Stephano, Naniwa, SaSe, Thorzain, Nightend, Ret, Nerchio, Mana and DIMAGA are all attending... Maybe Lucifron, Kas and Grubby are missing and TITAN if you're in that mood but most top europeans are attending that's for sure

Well HuK is on the list...but he is Canadian. It could also be that some people like IdrA may have been invited and just turned it down for whatever reason.

It's an open tournament, anyone can attend as long as someone (a sponsor) are willing to pay for them. I think it's a pretty good move for EG to hold on a bit and letting idra practice some time before flying him to international events again, let's face it in his current form he'd probably struggle to reach ro32

DH Stockholm proofed otherwise, which had probably the most viewers of all events we have seen this year (maybe IPL had round same or little more). You dont need a lot of top tier Korean's to bring in a lot of viewers, there's no evidence that if DH would bring in MVP/MKP etc that the amount of viewers will increase with like 10k+.
I dont even like the idea that you pay the trips of certain superstars, it shouldn't be this way. Either you pay the trips for each player who comes to your event or you dont pay for a single one.
I really look forward to this, hoping to go there this time! Hell yeah =)
However, what the fuck is up with the amount of photoshop used in the pictures? Holy hell, that actually hurts my eyes.. It's like eyeliner, but for faces.. And the contrast, what the fuck X_X

Its an open tournament, read the title!
EG can afford to send their players their and so can a number of other teams but to have a good return on their investment, they gotta make sure that they place high and HuK has that potential, IdrA not so much.
I like the lack of Koreans. We don't need another tournament like MLG or IPL who pay the trips for 20+ Koreans, while foreigners would have to pay for their trips themselves.
Dreamhack Stockholm was a success and showed that a lot people like to watch foreigners a lot more. I hope DH will keep it like this.
