Therefore, they can afford to keep their fog server-side and not client side. If you had server side fog in SC2 then it would be very laggy. Instead, the fog is client side so it's open to any modification that the player wants. That's how I understand it. | ||

league : Diam protoss server : EU Replay : http://drop.sc/369208 Please look at the replay to the end because this player try to hide his map hacking but he makes strong mistake at the end of the replay. Very difficult to see it at the first watch of the replay because he is trying to do no map hack mistake, but after a good analysis i can surely affirm that he was map hacking. Let's explain that : 10:10 see the drop on the mini map and send his obs to the pathway of the drop (without look in the fow nice...) 10:20 back his MSC to the right position between his 2 bases without see anything coming. this look pretty normal but look replay to the end plz. 10:45 sick reaction ! (less than 1 second) instant warp zealot when he "see" drop on mini map... 11:40 regroup all of his troop at the natural without reason. (my drop is comming). My drop could be another time in his B1 but he back all his troops in B2... 12:10 keep his window on his B2 and wait...(sick control again when the drop arrives. 1 second !) 13:18 send a probe in B3 to expo and LOOK AT his B3, but a mine is burrow. (he see it) He has the money to land a B3 and doesn't do that. He knows that the probe will die. 13:35 his probe dies. HE DOESN'T LOOK at what kills the probe (very important) 13:53 he build an OBS and send it right away in the B3 WITHOUT KNOW anything of the kill of the probe !!! he also look at the B3 in the fow to confirm my mine. (this clue is obvious) 14:05 look at the frontier of fow to see my army and decide to not attack in front and change his way to my B3. he is seing my B3 floating to his area on the mini map. 17:34 look at fow to see my unit (scv) at the naga 18:25 he is going 3 stargate WITHOUT have any clue of my mech tech. he only see 1 drop mine and 1 banshee. HE NEVER see the tanks and hellbats. 19:30 look at B2 to send DTs but see my turret + bunker + army near so... 19;31 so he send those DTs in my B3. And look at wisely !! HE IS MAKING A PATHWAY TO AVOID SHOT OF MY PF AND KILL THE TURRET FIRST WITHOUT KNOWING ANYTHING OF THE PLACEMENT OF MY BUILDING !!!!!!!!!! this is obvious. At this moment i finally know that he is map hacking. 20:26 a click in my B1 to kill something (turret) and back his 3 OBS without see my turret. 20:31 same thing. He back his 3 obs WITHOUT see my turret. it's obvious here too. Thank you for watching and please confirm. | ||

Server: EU League: Master Race: Protoss There is no silver bullet here, but this is at best a very bizare game. I've never played against this account before in the least, so yeah... He does scout wrong direction but ends up skipping my base(having scouted the other 2 spaws positions). 6:06 throws down a cannon without seeing anything to indicate aggression. 6:58 Without seeing anything he moves his 3 stalkers in position to greet my hellion runby. 8:14 Takes a 3rd without even scouting an expansion(though admittedly he did check my infrastructure) 10:15 makes a phoenix and checks for hidden 3rd. Again I don't know, maybe he has played me before playing this build on a different account, but this game is really strange to me. Maybe I should've stuck in there longer to verify it, but yeah would love 2nd opinion on this... http://drop.sc/369313 | ||
