They don't have big fancy private rooms or pools or open areas to chill. I'm not saying that you shouldn't chill as part of your training because you will eventually burn your self out but honestly players like idra need to be in that environment if he ever wants to get back to being a top notch competitor. No offense to Geoff or Bryce but playing with them 24/7 won't make idra a better player. He needs to be around much higher caliber players in a more professional environment. The question is does he want this right now? Or is he and the other EG members happy with doing their own thing and still making money. If so more power to them.

Koreans live in these (somewhat) smaller apartment like houses. All you really can do is wake up eat train all day eat some more train go to sleep. So then what should Geoff and Bryce do? It's not all about Idra (even though he's so handsome and sexy). Forcing Idra to go to Korea (where the higher caliber players are) also wouldn't be good because it's not what he wants.

If they do wanna get serious though and start winning some more tournaments though then maybe they should think about a change in how things are working atm. This also applies for all the "foreigner" teams not just EG, was just using them as an example since this was discussed about it on the last episode.

I don't think living miserably will make you more talented.. Nestea and MVP live comfortably in their own apartments - isn't Nestea married even? The problems I see are: a) they don't have enough players and b) plenty of the players they have living in the house aren't really great c) their best players don't live in the house.

For these kinds of things I love for it to be as long as possible because we don't get this kind of content often if at all. Love the show JP.

People focus on the EG House like it is some sort of Korean training house. Beyond having computers and SC2 on them the two are not similar. It is not what EG is trying to do with the house. There are other reasons to have a living space other than training: - Cheaper cost of living for players - Extra room to host players going to events for several weeks in a row. - Easier to book travel when all the players are leaving from the same place - Access to a local studio to create video The house isn't 100% about making their players improve. The simple fact of the matter is that these players have to live someplace and right now it is easier for the players to live together. The simple fact of the matter is that MLG/IPL/NASL happens on this side of the globe. It is better for the team to have Huk, PumA and JYP stay at the EG house, get over jet lag and then attend of these events. It saves on hotels and gives them more options for multi week schedules.

http://soundcloud.com/cyan-6/real-talk-with-totalbiscuit wow. All of a sudden TB talked about planetarion. People (including me) still play it. It's still a bit of fun, just much much fewer people these days.
