well this is nice.. but why not a separate team for EG... now they have huk, tzain, jyp, puma in korea and maybe Demu or Incontroll could also go.
Or at leat why they don`t partner up with Team Liquid since OGS is disbanned.. they could represent the foreign team on GSTL and at least we will get back Liquid Huk in a way.
anyhow GL to both of the teams.

Because GSTL is a huge commitment that will interfere with foreign tournaments. Because they don't have enough people in Korea to have a GSTL team and they can't just simply send Demuslim and Incontrol over. The SlayerS house has limited space.
EG in GSTL as their own team isn't viable right now. By partnering with SlayerS they dont have to move anyone else to Korea and they can attend foreign tournaments without worrying about having to play in GSTL.

I'd say that at least HuK and JYP will see quite a few matches, especially PvP's. ThorZaiN will play less in GSTL, IMO.

You need more choice. If you have the same roster every time, other teams are going to roll through, they can have snipers prepared with no risk of them not getting used etc. Also, they'd constantly be flying out to international events, what if they're a player short, then they just can't compete, etc. It's not practical.

Ganzi and Taeja big losses to Slayers but this team up is looking great. I still believe in Huk!

I wanted to see Incontrol and Idra play in the GSTL, but I can clearly see why they're not.
|
PuMa and Huk will probably see fairly regular use as a vP snipers. JYP less so, because even he snipes a Zerg any random Korean Terran will beat him. I don't know about ThorZaIN, the problem for him is he's overshadowed by Ryung and MMA, but I guess they'll have him practice to snipe Terrans.

More foreigners in the GSTL yeah!

oh hell yeah!!! my dream finally comes true <3

Wow! I'm excited to see how Thorzain improves after another SlayerS training camp.

Wow! This should be amazing :D Interesting, why IdrA won't be with 'em. Anyhow, JYP, PuMa, ThorZaIn and HuK together with SlayerS team will be able to do huge things! Rooting for them tho

Holy crap, awesome! Would've been cool to see EG field their own squad though.

IMO it takes away from the team league, when you get partnerships like this.

Just curious: you complained about oGsTL and StarTaleQ too?

Wasn't a fan of either.
I like the partnerships from like a business sense, or training together etc. Being part of the same outfit in a teamleague though, just makes the teamleague feel less special. Purely my views though of course.

When you put it that way, it is a little bit of a double edge sword. But which end of the sword you choose to focus on is important too. I think this a GREAT opportunity for Huk, PuMa, JYP and Thorzain to get some possible burn. I remember one of my favorite moments in the GSTL was oGs sending out Huk and Hero as their aces.
I would prefer not to think of the "takes away from the team league" aspect.

lol EG too weak to compete on their own, need SlayerS help to do some damage.
Oh well, at least they will get crushed by fnatic in their own teamleague next week.
