Done. I wrote that what they do is a good thing, and it is indeed the future etc.. ... and that they should take advice from DH! So they don't screw it up with some stupid upper managers or old people who dont know too well what we want

But I wonder how big will this actually be (if anyone knows this yet)?! Will it be broadcasted on the main channel which the average Swedish spectators watches? Seems it hasn't been decided. Probably depends on scheduling of that given weekend and so on... SVT has two "main" channels: SVT1 and SVT2. They also have SVTb which is a childrens channel, and Kunskapskanalen/knowledge channel) which shows documentaries and such. SVTb and Kunskapskanalen share the same channel(children during morning/day and docu during evenings). In addition to these channels there is SVT24 where news are broadcast every hour and where a lot of recent minor sport broadcasts have been placed. I would say that it's reasonable to believe that DH will be put on SVT24. ALSO... If anyone wants to contact SVT and tell them how awesome this is, go here: http://svt.se/2.81956/stall_en_fraga and then do as in my image here http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/9448/screenshot2012042000114.png
Done, thanks for this easy and accurate description on how to give them feedback.
Hopefully they appreciate a message from Germany as well ;D

SVT actually are pretty good at adapting this age of Internet. All of the sports commentators and experts are on Twitter and actively discussing matches and relating stuff. They also have a Facebook site: http://www.facebook.com/SVTSport?ref=ts Can we dream about a SVT Esport site?

If only all Scandinavian countries promoted e-Sports T_T Well, many people do have access to SVT I thought, so we could be able to watch it on television, but probbably with swedish casters. The Swedish casters are AWFUL, I really hope they can use the english casters in the future. I think they must use Swedish casters or subtitles to be able to broadcast it. Have you ever seen a show on any swedish channel completely in non-Swedish? I haven't ^^ But Swedish casters is better than nothing, right? Not sure if they're better than nothing actually ;P DH should try to replace them atleast, there's probably somebody better out there.
I've been casting during the last two main DH events. I would also like to see someone more qualified do it, but to my knowledge, there isn't one.

People should also comment and share the news articles that discuss this on their facebook/twitters, so media will realize that there's actually a huge esport market out there. Here's some recent news articles:

I have heard that they will send this with dApollo and Wolf as casters, and incontrol in the "interview-sofa". Can anyone confirm this?
This is huge! I will get my family to watch this!!

It's not really that amazing, SVT is a channel influenced by public service, which meens they have to send what a small minority of the population wants to watch.

MLG wants to monetize and Dreamhack wants to grow.

Oh god sweden what an amazing country, where the government broadcasts esports on their channel. Makes me really jelly, but amazing feat for esports.

Well, this is the first time - We've actually had some Esport, CS, battlefield etc. some years ago in Denmark aswell, which they tried for almost a year period of time, but didn't get too much succes I guess, since it's stopped for now.

And yes you're indeed correct Incontrol will be the "sofa-guy".

On April 20 2012 07:33 marttorn wrote:*sigh* I'm trying to imagine NRK over here broadcasting something that actually interests someone under the age of 47 Nevertheless this is amazing for Sweden /jealousy, and really solidifies its position as the #2 Starcraft nation behind the undefeatable Korea. And really, that doesn't count, because the koreans are obviously all superhuman, so really sweden is the best. Logic~
NRK did broadcast the playoff from HF league (css) for some years, first live on net, then on TV a couple of weeks later. To bad KongKord (the man behind it) got another job.

First of, use the search function, I already made a thread about this 5 hours before you.
Second, this doesn't really belong to SC2 generel yet, since there are no actual press release saying that it will be SC2 broadcasted on terrestrial TV, only that SOME tournaments will be shown.
On topic though, this is of course great news for the whole E-sport community.
