to be fair, Huk might have the best PvP in the world. He beats everyone in PvP.

I don't think he has the best in the world. MC and Squirtle are pretty beastly at PvP with a 70%+ win rate in Korea compared to HuK's 50% win rate.

I'm one of HuK's biggest critics, but if you've been at all following him, you'd know that HuK was absolutely atrocious at PvP for a long time up until some kind of switch flipped in his brain and he started destroying people at it (right around the time MC started slumping in PvP). I still don't think MC's PvP has gotten back to the level it was once at as well.

Indeed, most of his recent tournement results is a testament to his stellar PvP, i am sad his recent PvT and PvZ is somewhat average tho

I think its an awkward situation for him not understanding anything that is being said around him.

Naniwa is usually awkward even when he understands the language, so I can imagine that certainly didnt help.

to be fair, Huk's PvP is worse than Effi's and Mana's. he might have beaten MC, Oz and Parting, but to be called the best, he still needs to prove his skill against Genius and Squirtle.

Elfi boggles my mind. (I actually forgot his name until you posted him. I was trying to think of "that one guy that wins by 4-gating everyone to death" but couldn't remember.) He seems like a statistical anomaly, lol.

I haven't watched MaNa play in forever ...

Oh its way back 5 pages ago when MKP was talking about ST players and Prime Players nowadays. I didn't know how to upload images which is why it took so long.. I'll delete I guess

Got to say all the groups look pretty awesome.

Parting's group looks particularly great because of MKP's recent form and Taeja's vProwess.

B has lovely variety though I worry about the zergs. I don't know how i feel about MVP this season but honestly having a hard time seeing hero survive.

MC and OZ seem the obvious picks from D but Oz has just been doing the oddest things lately. Maybe Maru can sneak past two very good but sometimes very average code s toss. (bizarre sentence I know)

GrouP A though.... Part of me wants to see genius in killer form, most of me really wants nani to make it through and I think this is an emminently winnable group for naniwa. Virus and Genius will be very very tough to deal with. Genius dismantled MC last season and Virus looked quite decent against MC in the Ro32. Still Supernova is a bit of a meh terran and Genius as I said earlier looks a bit.... moody in his play. Virus is solid in the way alive is solid so challenging but not awe inspiring.

I don't think he has the best in the world. MC and Squirtle are pretty beastly at PvP with a 70%+ win rate in Korea compared to HuK's 50% win rate.

thats mainly due to early on in Korea. 11 of his 13 losses were in his first 16 PvP games in Korea (Feb 2011 to July 2011). Since then he has gone 9-2

Just look at his 2 MLG runs this year. He has taken out, Minigun, Socke, Oz, Naniwa, and Parting. He also 2-0'd Hero at IPL4. He is also 7-4 against MC in his career (2 of those losses coming during the aforementioned 11 out of 16 PvP's lost).

Remember guys, Nani's record in Korea against Genius is 1-0. This is a doable group but he's going to need to pull out all the stops.

no, his PvP is not worse than Elfi or Mana's. Losing 1 series to another player doesn't mean your worse than them. He has played Elfi once. And he didn't even know who Elfi was. And his overall record against Mana is 3-3 with Huk winning the most recent series (2-1 NASL S2).

EDIT: I would love to see Huk go up against Genius and Squirtle. They have never played.

He hid a 4gate on crossfire. it LITERALLY doesn't mean anything. If anything naniwa was scared to actually play genius.

Imo this is the most exciting overall groups we've had in ro16 since I can remember.. every group has an interesting dynamic

group A has NANIWA [predictions: Genius and Naniwa]
group B the prince & god of war dynamic and all matchups [predictions: HerO and Leenock]
group C has a bunch of really good TvTs incoming [predictions: Parting and MKP]
group D has some of the best pvpers all in one group... and maruprime :D [predictions: Oz and Squirtle]
Don't let those anti-cheese advocates tell you what to do. Rush to meet life head on!

Naniwa definitely can advance again... PvP is sort of random and two terrans give him a good chance for winning another set.
