As long as GSL keeps handing out welfare seeds to foreigners though, there will always be a remote chance, but getting through the Code A qualifiers, Code A, and Code S? Literally 0% chance and I'd bet everything I own on it. Not even a Korean has been able to get through qualifiers, Code A and Code S to win it all, since there are no royal roaders (although a couple players have a chance right now). But let's ask about remote chances. What will happen first: foreigner in GSL finals or all Kespa GSL finals? All Kespa definitely. Wouldn't be surprised to see a Kespa vs Kespa finals in the next season tbh. Rain looks to be the best Protoss on the planet already and definitely has a very good shot at winning this GSL. So yea, the latter by far. Only problem i have with calling rain the best protoss on the planet is every once in a while a protoss comes around and he just obliterates everyone in every tournament, then he reaches the later part of the tournament and just kinda loses steam. it has happened SO many times in sc2 so i'm holding back on calling him the best protoss in the world for a bit. Yah... He hasn't had time really to be figured out. If he does this for long enough for people to be able to study more of his playstyle then it will be even more impressive. People were saying this about Parting and, while still a boss he's not quite lived up to it. Still Rain seems legit good in all three matchups, impressive indeed. How good was the guy in BW?
this is one of the biggest examples i have. people thought he was going to win gsl easily and he ended up getting stopped in the ro8

Rookie of the year, rising star. Was the ace player for SKT T1 in the hybrid proleague. In BW terms, he was a solid A-teamer with flashes of brilliance.

Great info! thanks for putting this out there!

How good was the guy in BW? this is one of the biggest examples i have. people thought he was going to win gsl easily and he ended up getting stopped in the ro8 I think the biggest difference is that Parting was strongest at a time where Protoss users were "figuring out" their race by leaps and bounds. Fast 3 Nexus builds, immortal all-ins, Double Gas with 2 probes in each, Sentry/Stalker/Colossus timings... These build orders seemed to come around the time Parting was extremely dominant (or Parting came to the scene when these build orders were prevalent). Rain hasn't really done anything "new," and I think that's an important difference because "figuring him out" is a lot more difficult when all he brings is extremely solid play, nothing completely new or revolutionary.

Parting is by far the best Protoss, but Rain from Kespa might take it from him

This just confirms my belief that qxc is the greatest non-Korean Starcraft player of all time.

Wow only two players have gone positive Idra and QXC just goes to show how thought this league is.

|
So in conclusion, Idra is the best foreigner in history of SC2.

John Lennon Toto Destroyer Bandana Terran fighting

Most of you have no idea what your talking about the best Protoss are: Seed, MC, and Squirtle

Toto Destroyer. Enough said.
If qxc didn't have university and focused solely on SCII, he would've been up there with Naniwa before Naniwa got knocked out.
