Seriously? How? Yeah man I feel the same way about Ganzi too. I know this is a business after all, but I still don't like foreign teams buying talent. These guys trained and honed their skills under Slayers and Liquid, EG... comes and whips out their wallets woos these guys off with money. It's like they're not good enough to produce top players so they had to take the easy route and buy them. So are teams just supposed to let free agents like TaeJa slip by? This wasn't a case of TL going to slayers and poaching him off the team, this was a case of TaeJa being a free agent and TL bringing him into the team after that. Like I said, I know that this is a business and I totally understand that teams do what they have to do to get ahead. I just feel that buying willing Korean talent cheapens Liquid a little. Let say that after joining TL Taeja wins a GLS. You can then say that TL is now a top team with prestigious wins, but in honesty that wouldn't be the result of TL training, it'd be Slayers training that allowed Taeja to win. Having said that if these Koreans still do well in foreign teams a year from now then I can't complain. Anyway this is just a little pet peeve of mine and really doesn't have any bearing. So by your logic, no team should pick up TaeJa because doing so cheapens your team. K gotcha.

I think he's a great pick up for any team looking for tournament wins, but doing so would slightly cheapen them in my eyes. However I'm just one individual, many others don't feel the same way so I don't think Team Liquid's reputation is in any danger.

Taeja is an amazing player already, but also has amazing potential. This is such a solid pickup for liquid.. they really needed to strengthen their terran line. Grats to both Taeja and Liquid.

Can't do something like this by accident, they maybe even started the whole "new liquid player theory" in the interview thread with smurf accounts.

Fnatic's last 3 pickups were Korean and is now starting a Korean pro house. TL's last 3 pickups were Korean. FXO now only has a single foreigner on the team. I have nothing against Koreans, but all these foreigner teams slowly transforming into Korean teams makes it hard to root for the underdog (i.e. foreigners in most cases). This also does not bode well for aspiring foreign pros. They're more likely to get dropped from a team in place of a better Korean than picked up by one. And if they do get picked up, it will most likely not be a top tier team in which case they will not be able to make a living off of it. Then again, they don't have anyone to blame but themselves for not being as good as Koreans. Anyway, gl to Taeja and TL. Yap. Foreigner scene is dying. Teams are not investing in foreigner players. Great pick up for TL, though. Their one weakness in the line-up was Terran and this takes care of it.
