I'm not sure what you mean by the "liquid thing to do". I could be misinterpreting you, but it seems like you have this idea that liquid is doing something wrong by recruiting a lot of top level players, when that's something that every team SHOULD actually be doing.
Liquid's original roster was sick for its time, Nazgul had been playing really well during the early stages of SC2, and Nony was one of the most successful foreign brood war players along with Ret. Huk was a very strong up and comer who had been showing good results in big tournaments, which led to him getting signed as well.
It's good for a team to add new players, especially top Korean players ones like Taeja. I know TL always had a "homely" feel to it, which might have been your original point, but they've always strived to find top players to represent them, it's how the team grows after all.

It seems like every team is only picking up Koreans nowadays. All the foreign teams will soon no longer be foreign. Fnatic's last 3 pickups were Korean and is now starting a Korean pro house. TL's last 3 pickups were Korean. FXO now only has a single foreigner on the team. I have nothing against Koreans, but all these foreigner teams slowly transforming into Korean teams makes it hard to root for the underdog (i.e. foreigners in most cases).
This also does not bode well for aspiring foreign pros. They're more likely to get dropped from a team in place of a better Korean than picked up by one. And if they do get picked up, it will most likely not be a top tier team in which case they will not be able to make a living off of it. Then again, they don't have anyone to blame but themselves for not being as good as Koreans.

This is just so awesome. Great job Nazgul and Team Liquid. Taeja is not only a great player, but a great team player. I have always admired him and his play in teamleagues. I heard about his prowess in online tournaments, but I sadly didn't have time to watch those games.
Then the game he won to keep Boxer in GSL was so epic, I became a huge fan forever. Just the way he stepped into the booth, he looked so excited and ready to play. (I made a post in the LR thread as the game started, can't find it now though). I was so nervous, but as soon as I saw his expression I knew I was in for a good game. He did not disappoint.
But I don't think I realized how much I loved seeing him play until just now. Congrats on this pick-up and congrats to Taeja. Team Liquid is just a collection of good people. Thanks for this beautiful website, and thanks for this inspiring team.

Youre putting down a teams actions because of the race of one of its players it picked up, and justifying it using horrible logic, which I showed you (twice I may add) was flawed. Instead of being a dick and ignoring what I am typing, read it. It makes perfect sense.
