TSL @TSL_korea
Polt, Symbol, and Inori are ready to fight in the MLG Open bracket!! Polt will also participate in the Lone Star Clash!!
TSL will be sending three of it's best players to MLG Columbus to battle in the Open Bracket. Including recent Winter Assembly champion Polt, the strongest Zerg on TSL, Symbol, and the PvP master himself, Inori.
Looking forward to seeing how they do at Columbus and good for TSL for continuing to send their players to foreign tournaments. Hopefully we see other Korean teams to follow the trend and send their top players to MLG as well. Shaping up to be a stacked tournament once again with lots of Koreans going.

Symbol is an absolute monster. I look forward to what he can bring.
|
Gogo polt~ Tear through the open bracket and win! MLG getting more and more stacked every event now
|
this will be fun
|
Argh, why must I be unable to attend this?! Hate it that Ohio is so far away...
Will have to catch the stream or VoDs....
|
very nice. want more korean zergs.
|
Cool, best of luck to them but it will definitely be tough to break the open brackets now that the prize pool has increased.
|
Oh yay Symbol :D Gl to TSL
|
wow this is really nice, I hope the TSL players can have a strong showing at this event, especially Symbol!
|
man its going to be another packed MLG. cant wait to see who goes to anaheim
|
Symbol is the most underrated zerg in Korea, he is just amazing.
|
|
If he goes 40-1 this time, maybe, just maybe he'll get one broadcasted ^^
Gogo Polt, hopefully they'll all tear up the open bracket

this is wrong, in an interview at assembly with polt, he said he didnt even attempt to qualify for mlg because he was already qualified for assembly.......

Sick! Will be fun to see Polt tear up the open bracket. Dunno why they picked Inori though. Is it cos he was on Reign before or cause they want 1T/1Z/1P? I'd rather have seen Revival over him tbh. :/

inori is good , in ipl3 he did amazing, beating players like huk and mc effortlessly while coming out of the open bracket and placed quite high until he ran into stephano. I see no reason why coach lee wouldnt want to send them if not for the experience alone, He believes in them that they have what it takes

polt top 5 ... im calling it

Polt and Symbol gonna tear it up.

This Polt guy, I heard hes doing quite well lately where did he come from?! :p
|
Polt is going to destroy at MLG! hes such a beast. Never really liked Symbol's playstyle/strategies at all. Imo he wont go far in MLG.
|
Polt had a 22-0 run at MLG Orlando.
He's on top form right now, so he'll probably just take the whole thing. Fuck the seeds, go Polt!
MKP vs. Polt finals, please.

Awesome. Die-hard fan of Polt and Symbol is fast becoming my favourite Zerg.

Oh.. man Can you guys feel the HYPEEEE.

There no shame in not making through that bracket. Top players like MMA didn't even make it. In the end it doesn't matter, everyone knows Polt is good
|
Gogo Polt! Hope he wins it!
|
Way to step up teams other than Slayers. I think with 76k up for grabs this years MLG's will be a who's who of Code S players. Polt has been playing stupid good lately, glad to see his team is stepping up and supporting him

So how does that make it wrong? He didn't qualify, whether he actually attended the online qualifiers doesn't really matter. Only way to get into championship bracket is through the arena, polt decided to not try to qualify for that so he starts in the open bracket, as simple as that and the reason why he didn't go to the arena doesn't matter at all.
Good to hear that TSL is able to sent 3 players, seems like things are finally brightning up for the team.

He's gotten himself a large foreign fanbase, and doesn't need to worry about the GSL and GSTL now. We will be seeing Polt in a lot of foreign events. Besides this, he also qualified for NASL Season 3 and IPL 4, so he will be participating in all 3 of NA's major tournaments.

Will MMA attend MLG?
Because if he is he got trolled hard

Polt does need a seed, but I understand why he doesn't have one of course. =P I hope he does well in the open bracket!!

The poorest team in korea that also was the first korean sc2 team that gave salaries to its players and was also the first that actually got sponsorship? Don't you recall the G.Skill commercials when watching GSL? TSL is pretty well off.

There is no Assembly/MLG seed program. The only way you can get seeded in an MLG is by qualifying for the Arena. Top 16 of the Arena get pool play, bottom 16 get seeded deep into the open bracket.

Polt won the biggest Starcraft tournament of all-time and also has made various trips deeps in GSL tournaments, was Code S for an entire year, and made another semifinal besides his Super Tournament win. He's always been a top Terran. He trailed off after switching to TSL, but he's becoming a beast again lately.

No reason not to. Even if he gets a Code S seed (he should), the GSL Code S doesn't start until the 27th or so. He might miss Code A qualifiers due to staying in the States, so I think this might be a clue he might actually have some notice he's in the running for a Code S/Up-and-Down/Code A seed.

Glad to see more solid Korean players going to international events. Polt's aggressive style makes for entertaining games. TSL must've sold a lot of shirts on thehandsomenerd in order to afford it.

Let's not speculate too much about the seeds. I doubt the seeds are finalized given that the IEM WC, a major tournament has yet to be played. Sure Polt is a strong contender but there are a lot of factors going into play when deciding seeds, and it is best not to preemptively award Polt the seed.

Didn't the three open seasons have the same 1st place prize? Maybe the conversion rate was just more favorable during Super Tournament.

When you give out something like God-tier so easily, it completely loses meaning. No one, not MVP, MMA, MC or Nestea, has attained God-tier in SC2, and definitely not Polt. He's good, but definitely not God-tier.
|
I agree with you. God-tier does not yet exist. Now that there is a much more difficult format for GSL it will be much much harder to win multiple GSLs.
|
I wonder how TSL can afford this? Never can understand that team... they seem on the brink of falling apart so often, now they can afford to send three of their players internationally?

Very glad for those players, they deserve it very much. Especially Polt, for he is such a good player and all. I really hope that he will be able to break through the open brackets so that we can see him fight his way to the title of MLG Columbus champion.

God tier terrans include MVP and MMA. Like the other two, they have GSL's and more to back it up. When you give out something like God-tier so easily, it completely loses meaning. No one, not MVP, MMA, MC or Nestea, has attained God-tier in SC2, and definitely not Polt. He's good, but definitely not God-tier. I think you're thinking BW Bonjwa. That level of dominance will probably never happen in sc2, but we know for sure that those terrains deserve a tier of their own.

Don't call them God tier, call them S-caliber or something. Right now the only person I could somewhat justify calling "God" would be Flash, simply because how dominant he has been (with his recent loss to Dear, now people are even starting to call him mortal).

Not to mention TSL has a pretty good list of sponsors.

Which means he didn't qualify...I didn't apply for the job, but I am still not the manager of England.
