I don't think you can get promoted unless you are at least top 8 of your league and have over a 50% win ratio, so just being top 20 gold won't get you promoted to plat.

I'm mad because I was DEMOTED to silver 85 from gold 20 for WINNING my placement match.

Oh look, I won my first 3 games on ladder. Now all I have to do is wait two weeks and play at 8 AM and I can get Grandmaster!

Hope that gets fixed this season.

Your placement match barely affected anything. It was your MMR from your previous season that determined your league.

Went from gold to high plat :D. Both maps are a lot better then last season so this is one of my favorite seasons.

during season 2 or 3 when i was in diamond
then new season starts, i lost my match and placed in masters

this match didn't effect anything

The placement match doesnt determine if you are going to get demoted or promoted at the start of the season, your MMR does.... which was probably low enough to get placed in silver.
Besides... forget about leagues and work on getting better, leagues dont mean shit.

i wish there were a few more 4 player maps for 1v1, i dont like 1v1 maps that throw you into a tiny map and you already know where they spawn.

It just encourages mass cheese

I used to be a diamond terran until season 4, then race-switched to Zerg in season 5 and got demoted to plat.
I finished the season rank 4 in my division, then won my ZvZ placement on Antiga Shipyard and got placed into diamond!!! Haven't vetoed any maps yet but I am considering Shakuras and possible Cloud Kingdom because of how strong mech is on those maps TvZ
