He streamed some 4v4 games together with jessica, brown and yugioh. According to Jessicas Twitter it was a prestream just to test everything. They (slayers) will start streaming this coming week (Facebook fanpage of team slayers). | ||

Why on earth would he lie about something like that why would he play tournaments when he gets paid more than progamers (im assuming) to be a caster. of course hes not going to make more than the highest placing people, but who wins every tournament anyway? he gets a stable income and gets to be the face of esports. why give it up to be a player who has to worry about losing every match? also, i missed boxer! Why we can never see him play 1v1 and he only uses smurf accounts to secretly ladder alone? If he's that good why would he be hiding it? He could easily make dailies featuring his own replays if he reached GM with all three races. Yet you can never see him playing. I'm not saying he's lying, but I find it rather strange. On topic: awesome news. I don't play terran but this will definitely be one of the off-race streams I follow. | ||

To add, its one thing to appreciate and know the game at a professional level, but another to physically and mentally be able to produce professional results. Frequent TL posts may be able to play at a Bronze or Silver level, but understand the game overall at a Platinum or Diamond level. Day[9] has other commitments and goals that prevent him from being able to produce the games on a regular basis that pros like Idra do, but he can pull on his professional BW experience and SC2 playtime to follow the pro game well enough to translate it in a helpful way to his viewers. | ||

Day9 is well known for being extremely private in his practice. He practiced the same way in BW, so it really isn't too shocking. You never saw him playing in BW and he was still top notch foreign player. He isn't hiding his skill or knowledge he shares it all the time on the daily and in the tournaments he casts. His decision to practice in private under akas is his choice and has nothing to do with his skills. By the same token I don't think I've ever seen MVP on ladder, doesn't mean he isn't good. Not everyone can be like artosis and highlight all their errors for 3k+ people. I don't like people listening to me when I practice guitar; doesn't mean I can't play well, it's just I only want people to see me at my best. Which I assume is the same thought process day9 has | ||
