Q: Once again, you advance into the round of 8 of Code S. How do you feel about that?
A: The round of 16 grouping was pretty bad, and I was very worried about the matches today. However, I was able to play as I did during practice, and I am glad to be able to advance.

Q: You mentioned several times you wanted to restore your image. (T/N: See his previous interview for clarification. Apparently, he received quite a bit of flak for his performance in the round of 8 last season.)
A: I still don't know if people have changed their views about me (laughs). I think that unless I am able to make a huge turnaround in a game in which I am in a horrible position, people will probably still say that I lack the toughness.

Q: But today, you played some really good games.
A: Before the matches today, I already knew my opponents' styles, so I was confident of winning as long as I was able to play like I did during practice. As a whole, I am quite pleased with how the matches went.

Q: It seems like Protosses have a really high win rate against Terran recently. What do you think about this?
A: I still lose more than I win during practice. I don't think you can really say that Protoss is bugged in the PvT matchup. It's just that we are playing slightly better recently. Wasn't it always tough to play as Protoss before this? (laughs)

Q: Your timing attack with the immortals was really powerful.
A: It wasn't planned before hand, but was improvised. I used this strategy frequently when I just started playing Starcraft 2. Recently, immortals received a buff, and so I again started to use this strategy once in a while.

Q: Your opponent in the winner's match was your team mate MMA.
A: We had an agreement that even if we were going to face up against each other, we would not practise specifically for each other, so there wasn't too much pressure.

Q: Your score against MMA is now 5:2.
A: MMA hyung really plays very well during practice, but he seems to fluctuate a bit when it comes to big tournaments. Personally though, I think I am indeed the MMA-killer (laughs).

Q: Your opponent in the round of 8 is Gumiho.
A: I didn't watch the games yesterday, and only managed to see the results. I realised he beat Mvp twice to go through though, so he's definitely not an easy opponent. I think it's fortunate that he's Terran though. Recently, I've been having a better win rate against him, so I think the situation is not bad.

Q: Do you see any possibility of you winning the competition?
A: I think I have a better chance than I did last season. Hopefully, all the remaining Zergs in the competition are eliminated. Then after that, all the Terrans should be eliminated. Oh, with the exception of MarineKing.

(T/N from the Chinese translation: What Puzzle means is that he wants MC and Parting to advance from Group C, and Genius and MarineKing to advance from Group D, because he isn't afraid of MarineKing.)

Q: Any last things you want to add?
A: I want to thank the players who helped me practise. Recently, Idra's been living in our training house and teaching us to work out. He has a really great body/figure. To increase my toughness, I've been working out really hard, and so I think I will do better this season than the last.

"Puzzle thanks Puma, Clide, Ganzi, and Jjakji for helping him with practice. (FYI, it's rumored that Puzzle is as fast as some of the top BW pros as far as the APM and mouse movement are concerned)" By jellyjello.

Q: Today's matches were really tough for you.
A: I feel like I just died and came back to life. The player I picked was Oz, and I am glad I was able to beat him twice to qualify for the next stage successfully. I also feel really fortunate (laughs).

Q: To be honest, the players in your group were all really strong.
A: I mainly prepared for the matches against Oz. The players of our team analysed his VODs, and recorded a lot of information and tips for me, and because of that, I was able to defeat him today.

Q: You played only TvPs. What are your thoughts toward TvP?
A: I've heard a lot of people say my TvP was too weak, so I deliberately picked Oz in the group pickings. I wanted to show everyone my change and improvement. However, it was really tough during practice, and I regretted my choice of picking a Protoss.

Protoss is really strong recently. Perhaps, it's time for there to be some changes for Terran.

Q: For this season, would you have to surpass this Protoss hurdle to have a chance of winning the championship?
A: I think that practising is the way to go. I have to surpass this hurdle. There is definitely a way to do it.

Q: Mvp was eliminated in yesterday's games. What were your thoughts?
A: I think it's really sad. Mvp's wrist might have been in poor condition. It's really sad. I hope he he can recover soon. But to be honest, Mvp was one of the players I was hoping to avoid this season.

Q: You were defeated in the winner's match. This is the first time you lost in a team kill situation in the GSL. It seems like you've lost quite a number of times to Puzzle.
A: We call him Bisu within the team, and he's especially good at PvT. I wasn't too confident before the winner's match. We played a standard game on Daybreak, and I lost horribly. That made me lose my confidence, and I just lost after that.

Puzzle is really very strong. It was fortunate that we met in the winner's game though.

Q: Your opponent in the round of 8 is aLive. How do you think the games will turn out?
A: He's really good, but as compared to other players, he still hasn't receive much attention. He is versatile in his strategies, and also has very good mechanics. I'm going to have to prepare well.

Q: Any last things you want to add?
A: I want to thank Boxer hyung, Ga Yeon nuna, and our coaching team. I also want to thank the team mates who helped me practise. Lastly, I want to thank our sponsors.

"MMA credits Crank for analysing Oz's VODs and helping him with practice. Crank is also the one that was in the booth with Coach Ryu. He also says thanks to Clide, Puma, and Ven for helping him with practice. (personally, I think Crank is really good)." By jellyjello. Amazing ID by the way.

Also, I thought Bisu was not that good in PvT?

I think he mentions some of the sponsors in the original interview. I can't read Korean though, so I'm not 100% sure which sponsors he lists because I use the Korean-English translation of Google translate for that. I only see Progressive EXR for this interview though, as compared to the GSTL interview where there was a long list, so I'm not very sure sorry.

Ohh. That's a very good observation actually. I just looked at the original Korean interview and it wasn't hyung. I think the mix-up arose because Mvp's real name ends with Hyeon, which is an awful lot like hyung. They look similar too! 현 vs. 형

Sure would be nice to see a Toss in the finals for the first time in 8 months. The fact that the first place in a group with Nestea and DRG stands in his way is a bit daunting, given his comment about wanting to avoid zerg.

Even if Bisu's PvT is his weakest matchup it's still ridiculously strong. Probably top 3 (along with Stork and Jangbi).

lol Idra working out. I hope he still practices enough though.

He said 'we call him Bisu, and his PvT is good', not 'because his PvT is good'.

My interpretation is that he's just really good at P in general (so they give him that name) + his PvT is strong.

MMA credits Crank for analysing Oz's VODs and helping him with practice. Crank is also the one that was in the booth with Coach Ryu. He also says thanks to Clide, Puma, and Ven for helping him with practice. (personally, I think Crank is really good).

Puzzle thanks Puma, Clide, Ganzi, and Jjakji for helping him with practice. (FYI, it's rumored that Puzzle is as fast as some of the top BW pros as far as the APM and mouse movement are concerned)

Funny that Puzzle is kinda calling out MKP. There really needs to be more rivalries in the GSL.

MMA vs Alive hopefully should be a good TvT. It's nice that MMA realizes Alive's strengths and is preparing accordingly.

At least, Mvp won Curious 2-1 (Remeber bomber who got crushed by Curious in Ro.32) Btw, Mvp suffers carpal tunnel syndrome on both hands, and MMA said his wrist situation is much more serious than every think it would be...He should get a wrist surgey ASAP like Flash did...damn...I'm so worried as a fan of him.

He said 'we call him Bisu, and his PvT is good', not 'because his PvT is good'.

My interpretation is that he's just really good at P in general (so they give him that name) + his PvT is strong.

That's right too :D

MMA credits Crank for analysing Oz's VODs and helping him with practice. Crank is also the one that was in the booth with Coach Ryu. He also says thanks to Clide, Puma, and Ven for helping him with practice. (personally, I think Crank is really good).

Puzzle thanks Puma, Clide, Ganzi, and Jjakji for helping him with practice. (FYI, it's rumored that Puzzle is as fast as some of the top BW pros as far as the APM and mouse movement are concerned)

I will add that in. Thank you for the clarifications. :D
