Not the most surprising of moves, but a shame nonetheless. Hopefully Axslav and Strifecro land somewhere soon. Sad to see them get the boot.

I seriously doubt this was about results, its more likely that there were some disagreements with some aspects of a renewed contract and both parties thought it would be better to part ways. Both Axslav and Strifecro improved a lot from being on EG, I'm sad to see them go

Their teams are just bigger and the less than stellar people get accommodation and food for free provided they practice like the rest of the team. When foreign players complain that they cant get good practice partners the reason is because foreigner teams dont actively try to develop players, they would rather buy them high or pay for someone else to do it (eg/slayers).
Very well said. Korean teams usually dont have such a cool and big teamhouse like EG and live in worse conditions, and more people.

So now they are
PUMA, JYP, IDRA, HUK, DeMuslim and InControl?
you are forgetting machine and Lzgamer? not A-teamers lol yeah thats my point! If they were only going for "a teamers" then why are incontrol, machine and lzgamer not being "kicked" of the team? iNcontroL should be obvious, hes a pillar to the SC community and a very marketable person and markets the EG brand well because of his attention and the Dallas finish. Lz and Machine are both marketable people as well and even though they don't get very many streamed matches or attention they go all the way back to the start of EG:SCBW. I feel that Axlav is more marketable than LZGamer. My bet is that they acquired him later so his contract is still active. Can't see him in the team when his contract expires (unless he would bloom out as a player) EG has had LZGaMeR in their roster for about 3~ years. :p Oh shit, well that's how little I know about LZgamer (NOTHING).
He was a fucking beast in SCBW, and they're probably keeping him from prior experience and the fact that he decided to race change not too long ago. I'm really quite sad about Axslav, I think he's a very underrated player but I can't say I disagree about strife.

I was at first tempted to write something akin to what a lot of people are saying about TSL these days, but I decided against it.
Always sad to see a player leave a team, especially core members like these. I, however, can see why EG made the decision they did. Best of luck to EG and both Axslav/StrifeCro in the future.

Well I dont know about that, hes still on incontrols stream talking strategy

Yeah, good idea... Wtf is this? Getting rid of two very likeable and hard working players, just so you can buy another Korean off his team?
Great mentality there...

learned about this a month ago.

EG trimming the fat. Watch out incontrol.

Couldn't agree more. If anything axslav is the guy who clearly improved the most I feel as a result of the EG house - and is now being let go... Cant see it hard for him to find a team, plenty would want him.

damn they got cut from the roster, it really looks like eg is going after bigger fish
|
edit, nvm
Maybe clearing the team for more korean signings?

On January 19 2012 08:52 Korinai wrote: So they get rid of Axslav and Strifecro and leave LzGamer on the team? My brain hurts.
Because Axslav and StrifeCro's contracts just ran out. LZGamer is likely still under contract but will meet the same fate when his contract is up too.
|
Wow seriously? This is really bad news! Axslav is a beastly protoss and StrifeCro has some intense bo's! Hope they will find a new home! Good luck too you guys!
Why i think it's "bad news" is mostly because i thought they fit perfectly in EG.
|
Didn't these guys play 2v2s?
... Being good at 2v2s does not mean much in the long run. Good riddance, I say. Better off without them.
|
Really too bad for Axslav and StrifeCro. I always thought Axslav was a solid B-teamer and I heard he improved tremendously in the team house. I wonder if anyone will pick them up and what EG will do with the 2 free spaces on their roster.
|
Understandable, those two didn't have results whatsoever.
Anyway good luck in the future!

You probably should have left that part out as well. Definitely not a good idea to compare the two situations since people are already labelling you as a "blind fanboy."
