Lack of results isn't too surprising, still sad to see them go

I can't say I didn't see this coming, but I do wish them good luck.

However, I'm a bit surprised LZGamer and Machine weren't released as well, although I guess that has to do with other things in relation to the team, like LZGamer literally being around forever, for example.

Performancewise, Incontrol is not really good, either. However, since he's a team captain and organizer, there's no way he can get booted from EG.

lzgamer next on the chopping block. Machine is marketable(was in a kingston commercial) plus he is good friends with IdrA.

I don't understand? Liquipedia is one click away. Comparing Machine (who had a solid MLG record all season long) to these two and LZGamer, it's just amazingly lazy.

Take a look at those MLG results again. He never broke top 15 all season. That's not solid. Solid would be something like top 10 every tournament.

I don't see the point of comparing Axslav/Strifecro to the other members of the team since they are obviously things going on behind the scenes we don't know about but saying Machine had a solid MLG season is just plain ignorant. Delightfully ironic too since you're chiding people for not looking at Liquipedia.

Edit: Especially considering Machine was seeded for most of those events!

Top 10? after the korean influx?
Want to know who had top 10 places outside of koreans all season, only huk (didn't participate at columbus). IdrA ret and huk were the only foreigners that were top 10 relatively consistently. so I guess those are the only solid foreigners.

So we're going to start creating different evaluation criteria for foreign players? They're all playing the same game.

Incontrol and Machine are like the derek jeters of EG, guys too identified with the team to be dropped even if their results are dropping off badly.

Someone should pickup Axslav, not too sure about strife... gl to both though.

I presume Idra Machine and Incontrol are almost family since from Brood War so breaking up that family (that generates ROI) isn't in EG's best interests.

your forgot LZ, he was in media too. It's always funny to watch the daily EG-practise session. I didn't follow BW, but apparently LZ and Machine are rivals (ingame) for years and Geoff/Ben/Cong are always hyping their games.

so... Strifecro and Axslav aren't in EG anymore.
I've tuned into Machine's stream a few times over the last 2 days and a lot of times they are practicing with EG members and Strifecro is allways participating while EG teamcoaches/admins spectating.
Kinda feels like he's still sort of in EG but as a trainingpartner instead of full member.

The least known of EG members... makes sense for EG as a company. Always sad when business and relationships mix and one must be hurt in the end. Id be nice if they decided to work in the SC2 business! ^_^

lol...

That is a good point. Axslav is a good player though and that is confusing to me.

Its a shame to see them go because they're both very manner guys. Axslav seems to have a solid future if he keeps at it. Overall I think EG gave them plenty of time to improve and start bringing attention/revenue to the team. They didn't meet expectations and that usually means losing your job in the real world.

I'm not a pro gamer and I'm not in the "bussiness" but I think EG might be doing this wrong.

I think they should copy the Korean model before they try any "new" stuff. They have better conditions then any Korean team ever had.and they have +/- 6 players in the house and they lack proper coaches. I don't know if they will had more players but the atmosphere seems a bit more relaxed, maybe too much. I'm not saying they should live in worse conditions or have even less privacy, it's nice that they can afford what they have and i give them credit for it. It's just that i feel they should take it like a proper sports team would, with practice regimes and coaches.

I hope strifecro and Axlav find a good team and EG improves it's roster and results because I root for them.

Incontrol tweeted yesterday that Axslav had found a "new home" but that strifecro had yet to be picked up. Wondering who signed Axslav? Honestly they should both get signed they are good players that have just been overshadowed by their more successful teamates.

I'm surprised they arent being picked up together. I'm pretty sure they are best known as 2v2 players and was the original reason eg picked them up.
