Yeah it's kind of sad since I like Axslav a lot back from the wc3 days. And his stream is always really good. I wanted Machine and LZGamer to go before them. And i love incontrol but they should make him a coach and not a player ... LOVE EG

It's say-nothing press releases like this that make me eager for the time when there's good 3rd party reporting to get to the real meat of these stories.

they were good players but definitely not putting up any results nearly close to idra or huk and I even think incontrol has them beat at MLG

sad to see em go but I'm sure they will be joining a team that maybe sends them to korea and really up their game (FXO? quantic IM?)

makes sense to see them leave, I think EG is going to be picking up more superstars

EG hasn't signed any a-teamers have they? I swear puma and idra were B teamers?

Sad news but I hope they can find a new team to get them back in business, they have a lot of talent. I love watching Axslav play

"While Nick and Cong both improved significantly over the course of 2010 and 2011, having achieved qualified berths at major events such as ESWC and Intel Extreme Masters, and the team is grateful for their contributions over this period of time, Evil Geniuses ultimately decided as a team and company to part ways with both players" Sorry...what???

Wow I thought if anyone was getting removed it would have been lz just because I haven't heard much from that guy in a long time.

I imagine they will find a new team soon enough ^^.

Yeah and afaik he isnt even living in the prohouse ..
I Don't think it should be too much of a problem for any of them to get a new team! (:

Wasn't strifecro on stream with all EG players like 10 minutes?
Did this literally happen mid training session?

Not too surprised about StrifeCro but Axlav? His stream is gaining a lot of popularity and having LZGamer over Axlav feels a bit odd... Maybe LZGamers contract is still active and they'll cut him lose when it's expiring.

Oh forgot about Machine. I rate Machine as high as Axlav.

yeah thats my point! If they were only going for "a teamers" then why are incontrol, machine and lzgamer not being "kicked" of the team?

they were never any good at sc2 2v2 lol. they won 1 league using 1 abusive cheese, as soon as someone watched a reply of them playing they instantly stopped winning. infact EG stopped using them as a pairing for things like the egmc.

after hearing all that people like idra and incontrol said about how EG was building itself im really suprised by this. they had atleast heavily implied that EG was happy with their performance, and happy to have an unoffical B team/bigger roster for things like moral, team training, smaller leagues. now the article specifically says EG dropped them, they didnt ask to leave. kinda shocked.

this leaves machine and incontrol as the last non superstar players on eg. incontrol obviously safe as a huge PR guy and team captain position but i gotta wonder what their plans are for machine. he attends some smaller american lans and was at CES for them, so maybe they want to model him on incontrol as another guy to help market sponsors with? who knows.

seems like EG has dropped clan support for starcraft 2 (lol funny bnet joke!!!) they seem to be trying to up the 'professionalism' by being a full on team akin to a 'real' sport rather than a sponsored clan that most esports teams actually are.

opps forgot all about LZ, no comment on him since he didnt even move to the EG house hes in a completely separate boat

I can kind of understanding letting strifecro go.. he hasn't really done much and doesn't really have a community presence. But Axslav.. a bit torn on this one. Hes definitely an up and comer but hes technically been one for a long time.

Machine will be kept as long as he serves as Idra's body double.

When another team tries to poach Idra, they'll be Machine instead, and they won't be able to tell the difference.

They still have an active contract. I can't see EG keeping LZGamer when his contract have expired....
