Axslav and Strifecro part ways with EG - Page 13

Good luck to the both of them. I don't see lzgamer or Machine leaving EG soon because they are marketable. An example would be Machine, who was in the recent Kingston HyperX commercial. LZGamer is often sent to conventions to represent Kingston and other sponsors of EG. EG also got rid of their CS 1.6 team, so I'm not surprised of EG is just trying to spend their money else where.

Hopefully Axslav and StrifeCro are able to find teams fairly soon!

Axslav has really improved in the last few months, I think he's a major case of success for the EG house so I'm sad to see that coming to an end. I was a doubter on the EG house at first, but if I had to pick one EG player that changed my mind about it, it would be Axslav.

IMO it's kinda shallow to dislike a team just because they dropped a player. Of course it is your opinion, but if you look at it from EG's perspective they haven't seen many results from Strifecro compared to their other players and frankly it might not be worth the money for him to remain on the team from a business standpoint. Whether you like it or not, these teams are businesses and I believe this decision will inevitably lead to more growth within Esports as EG can allocate their money to players that they may feel are more deserving.

That being said I too regret their decision to part but I wish all parties the best.

Then you have to ask why incontrol is still on the team.

Straight up due to personality?

Incontrol doesn't need to win anything amazingly enough whether u like him or not, he's arguably one of the biggest names in foreign e sports because of his personality. In a growing scene it's not all about who's getting the best results necessarily

To an extent that istrue, but I feel offended.. Are you seriously calling him a "mascot"? iNcontrol's only in this state cuz of real life issues like he mentioned. He will bounce back like terminator ONCE the cloud clears!

This came sooner than I expected. I was just thinking the other day that if EG was going to pick up another powerhouse from Korea, they would need to cut some people. StrifeCo and AxSlav were on the top of my list during my thoughts.

After the whole Grubby incident and multiple explanations, people still can't stop to think about it from a company business perspective? StrifeCro and Axslav were improving, but not up to the level that EG expected them to. It's a logical choice to cut them if EG is looking to refocus their budget and roster. I don't really say this in spite of either player though. In fact, I wish them the best of luck because they were an entertaining 2v2 team.

All the flak at iNcontroL should really stop. For all the deficiency in play skill that he faces, he more than makes up in PR and general personality marketability. He gets all this crap from the community, but the moment that he left SotG, everyone was crying for his return.

I wonder if this move by EG is to transition into a style similar to Liquid for roster management. Keep a small roster, but have much more exposure for all their players. PuMa and JYP being sent to more foreign tournaments would be awesome. I would love to see more DeMusliM at tournaments as well. A roster refocus can actually be a good thing. Everyone should approach it with a more open mind.

Really upsetting. I feel Axslav is very underrated. But what puzzles me is that they keep Lzgamer. He really hasn't done anything. But anyways, good luck to them both!

I mean to be honest i'm not sure if I ever see him getting to some amazing state. He was decent at one point but that was at the very release of the game and he's never been able to make up ground since then. I mean i really hope that he gets better but I don't necessarily see him doing it, not everyone can just become the next flash if they try hard sadly. I don't think they're keeping him around cause they expect him all of a sudden to start dominating their top 4 players and play on a korean level because that's sadly a rather huge step in play.

Demuslim is way overhyped, but he's still got easilly enough ROI to be worth having on EG.

demuslim wont be going anywhere anytime soon, he has done decent at mlgs and at European events.

Demuslim is absolutely not going anywhere :p

http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/DeMusliM
his latest good tournament placement is almost year old and he is almost invisible, i dont see any reason why EG should keep him ...

what the hell? people calling DeMuslim bad? what?

this reminds me of people shitting on haypro, and then he fucks over MVP and Nestea.

i hope for irony's sake that DeMuslim wins the next MLG.

I don't see why people keep making this argument, haypro had 1 good instance of play in an entire year, demuslim has done nothing this year really. How do people like you justify your claim that x is so good even though there is nothing really to quantify that claim. It's like me saying that the sky is purple because it is, there's really no results to back this up. Like yes we all realize they're "good" they play professionally, but there's a huge difference from some random footballer from china and messi. Most people are capably of taking a game and often times a set of almost anyone in the world, it'd be almost ridiculous to assume that x will be y 100% of the time, there are bound to be upsets.

He's done much more than "nothing" for the entire year.

http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/sc2-international/players/1589_DeMusliM

These type of results are consistent with many other notable foreigners, and he is able to play with the best when he's in form.

Just not worth the investment, their American training house is going to look pretty empty... INcontrol & Anna Prosser's private mansion.

I'm sad for Axslav and Strifecro but I think EG's decision is understandable. Even with the massive improvements shown by Axslav especially, they can't really compete on the level EG is trying to play at. Not to say they don't have the potential to become the best. I really hope someone picks them up.

I hate bandwagons. I hate how people can have such unbelievably high expectations.
I hate you're either in the best in the world and expected to take home championships or you're just a scrub so easily written off and called on to change teams.

Because believe it or not there are good players who don't have 1st place medals who you don't have to call bad.
Throw on your favorite jacket and you're good to roll. Stroll through the trees and let your miseries go.

This is the first time I have seen or heard either of their names since I can't remember when (EG streams excluded). I'm sure people can point out "this" or "that," but the bottom line is that they just haven't been relevant in a while (if ever?). Why not open up the books for bigger and better talent?

EG is my favorite foreigner team by far, and I love Machine but I wouldn't be surprised if we see him part ways with EG too before long.

P.S. No disrespect meant to either player, they are both really great players compared to the whole and I hope they achieve greatness in what ever it is they decide to do post-EG.
I might be the minority on TL, but TL is the minority everywhere else.
