I remember from the final sc Report episode, JP was going over his favourite moment of 2011 being when Nada beat someone (i forgot sorry!!!) and then screaming 'I am Nada!' to the crowd.
I hadn't seen a thread of this topic, so I decided to make on myself and let the community express
Here is mine, because I was under the impression at first that the korean GSL organizer people (idk what to call them) were pretty nonchalant and then by the end of the event it seemed John was really emotionally moved, and that is AWESOME.
I think the best thing was that month where 3 tournaments in a row were won by foreigners, I was honestly getting a little bit bummed out that MLG would come around, and I would automatically count out all my favorite foreigners for the top 5-6 spots, but then HuK and Idra bossing it up, then naniwa in the finals, and winning the MLG global invitation, that was really great in my opinion for us as foreigners to show korea and the rest of the world that we have what it takes to keep up on top, very excited about the number of foreigners in korea right now and can't wait to see what 2012 has in store for us!
As someone who was in the crowd during this, the sheer confusion as to what just happened was awesome. Both the killing of the command center and him leaving a possibly won game. Looking at everyone else in the crowd for an explanation that was not there - amazing.
NesTea being the first human on earth to win two GSL in a row and winning a GSL without dropping a single set. But there were so many others that I will never forget (MMA vs DRG, Blizzcon, MC reclaiming his Code S spot etc etc). I love you SC community ♥
The whole of the GSL World Championship Korean Team v Foreigners Team, first time I really wanted one team to win, normaly I just watch games and am not to fussed as to who wins but watching this was different, best thing by far for me in 2011 SC2 wise. They were so close to

Wow... I didn't know these games were on youtube Thanks a lot!!!
For SC2, I would say the MMA chant at Columbus. Also, MC's Murloc suit after he beat MVP at Providence.
Following that, I have a few moments from MvC3 this year. But the top one would have to be Jwong's comeback against Fchamp in the second set of the Canada Cup Grand Finals. Dat Akuma, nuff said.
Barcraft Montreal #1, for MLG Orlando, my first barcraft. Being surrounded by a few hundred other nerds who are all cheering for HuK in the finals, just as I am, and then MC fails his cannon rush, and we know... We all know, HuK's gonna win, he can't screw this up, he can't possibly fail, the game is his, the tournament is his.
The moment comes. MC calls gg. Confetti fall on us. Beautiful moment.

For me, that was a horrible punishment for a pretty non issue, but all this has been said a million times and argued over in 300 other threads.
I actually have a few moments, and I cannot pick between them:
- TSL3, not any game in particular, just the whole thing. It was the first time I actually sat down and thought that watching people play a computer game was actually pretty good. From the early on games, watching players who I hardly knew who they were, to the 'CHILL GET OUT' it was all pretty epic.
- MC and Idra at Columbus (iirc) and the whole rivalry that went on between them and the epic games MC showed to win 4-2 from 2-0 down (again, iirc, memory is going atm lol).
- MC at Orlando winning back his Code S slot <3
- WhiteRa in the MLG promo video, see my sig. Also his MLG run <3
- Leenocks win at Providence. Despite not fancying him to win the whole way, I was happy for him. A young player with a long future (Bonjwa inc, according to a friend) in the game winning on such a stage.
There are probably more I will remember, but that will do for now
Idra vs. Bomber at MLG Orlando was probably my fav series of the year, especially considering that Idra had only barely managed to defeat I think it was Boxer the series before.
1. Nestea vs sC game 5 2. MC co-casting with TotalBiscuit at Dreamhack summer 3. Naniwa beating MVP, Nestea (twice) and DRG all in one weekend. 4. Idra vs Bomber at MLG Orlando 5. White-Ra crushing MMA with special tactics at IPL3 6. Boxer's runs at MLG Anaheim and Orlando 7. Nada coming from behind to beat Puma at MLG Raleigh "I AM NADA" 8. JulyZerg's GSL March run 9. GSTL1 finals 10. GSL World Championship Korea vs Team USA the World.
idrA vs Boxer in MLG Orlando. will never forget how idrA started with 2-0, and then boxer made an epic comback with a 3-0 and pushed it to the final most nail biting game ever! when idrA won the last game i nearly passed out

Or HuK taking down Moon in Game 5 of DreamHack Summer.
Puma MC match in nasl 1 was surely the most epic games I have seen so far.
Other notabnle moments: -Idra vs MMA and the big questionmark on 50k Nerds watching it + epic reaction from dayJ and the crowd. -MMA chant for the first time ever in MLG colombus - ..and probably more
7. Nada coming from behind to beat Puma at MLG Raleigh "I AM NADA"
That was so epic. There's nothing better than seing people like NaDa or BoxeR get into these winning emotions in SC2. It always resonate in me as " hey, this game is not bad after all if even them feel this"
Already posted, but TSL3 in general just was so amazing. It was my favorite tourny, and my first. Coming home every Sunday to hear the epic music, see Glider's portraits, Chill's voice, Day9's voice, Husky's, and on, got me excited about StarCraft. Probably wouldn't be here nearly as much without it. So great.
That would have to be when Idra beat Elfi in the finals of IEM, and shook his head in disgust Or when Idra beat FUCKING BOMBER in epic macro games. Or the I AM NADA on the mainsage of MLG

You are excellent at this, sir.
For me, it must have been Homestory cup. Really looking forward to the one in a few days. Hope they will have good vod support because i will be working...
1. IPL 3: It was a huge opportunity for me to win the contest get the job offer to go to IPL 3 and work there, and I had such an amazing time, I got to do so many things in the line of work there from having a meal with Doa and CatsPajamas and watching the GSTL Finals with Mr. Chae, to having lunch with the SlayerS' players, seeing BoxeR play Brood War in person, and playing a game against White-Ra, it was really an amazing experience.
2. MLG Raleigh: An event that a lot of people overlooked this year because of the weak line-up and the weather situation, but one that I traveled to personally. It was another amazing experience for me, getting to meet and talk to players from Bomber, CoCa, and DongRaeGu to qxc, Sheth (Who for some reason asked me if I worked at Blizzard), HayprO and HerO. I had a great time, and got some friends who aren't as in to Starcraft as I am to enjoy the trip with me.
3. MLG Orlando: For the same reasons as MLG Raleigh, it was quite an amazing trip for me, as well as my friends. One of my friends played piano with Destiny at one point, and I got to meet a lot more amazing players. iNcontroL did blow me off for dinner though, unfortunately.
4. Playing a warm-up game with TSLHeart on his stream: I may not be the best player around, and this game certainly proved it, but I happened to be watching his stream (as is obvious, I'm a bit of a TSL fanboy) and he said he was switching over to the NA server. I jokingly asked him to play a game against me, and to my surprise he agreed, and I got my chance to lose to a TSL player. It was a very special moment for me.
5. All the late nights spent on TeamLiquid in the LiveReport threads watching the GSL. I wouldn't trade those nights for anything else really.
ThorZaIN vs MC at TSL especially game 1, 4 and 5. The Thor timing made me cry tears of joy as I found a player to follow because I finally found someone I play like. Mech in TvP is so awesome.
MLG Orlando. Just cuz I flew all the way down there from AK to actually attend a tourney for the first time. And EG (my favorite team) did really well and I got all their autographs on my mousepad. (tt no Demuslim\Axlav\Strifecro will have to go to another one!)
Definitely the MMA vs DongRaeGu Blizzard cup finals.
I love watching TvZ and MMA is my favourite player. MMA winning the first three games then DRG coming from behind to even the score to set up an awesome game 7. I love games that go back and forth and this was just the perfect example of games I love.
Edit: I love that "Happy Birthday thing in my description bar there. That's pretty cool :-D
MLG Orlando day 3. Huk and Idra representing foreigners well and crushing some Koreans. Huk winning the whole thing felt so epic. It was nice that MC earned back code S also.

I second that, highest lvl TvZ so far, and by quite a margin, both Leenock and Jjakji play were so crisp, and still so far from perfection. 3/3 mutas too btw :D

Exactly, that series made me feel more alive, it was truly the 2 best players of their time in an epic showdown.
MC PuMa NASL finals. So many reasons. Saved the worst production with the best match possible. Then the matches themselves with godly drops everywhere, godly feedback's and FF everywhere, the come from behind 3-1 to even series in a real nail biter.
1) BoxeR coming out of the booth after beating Rain at MLG Anaheim. 2) Nestea v. SC game 5. 3) BoxeR v. Idra MLG Orlando. Given the context of BoxeR staying alone to practice all night before, making an improbable run through the bracket, and emptying both barrels against a mechanically superior player, this was really emotional. 4) QXC All kill 5) Taeja sending the emperor to Code S. Yeah I'm a fanboy, so sue me
I don't know, there were so many good moments! Picking one is like picking your favourite child!
I think the energy and crowd from Blizzcon was amazing, and I only saw it via stream. But I had a friend there who was at Blizzcon not for Starcraft 2, but everything else. And at the end of the day he figured "Well might as well see what's going on here" and though he knew nothing coming into it, he was a screaming fan by the end of game 1 let alone game 5.
Definitely between Idra's rage quit in the MMA game and the look forGG gave the camera after getting into code S - still laugh when I think about Tasteless reaction to it =D

I remember when I found this out. I was in school, doing some Homework in between periods in the library, with my friend Mark, who also follows the GSL. When I first got tho the library, I fired up Liquipedia, to find him in 3rd place, not going to advance. After we finished our homework, I checked again, and he had moved up to 2nd place, but it still looked like he wasn't going to get to Code S. I really couldn't take the suspense during the day, during Lunch I went up to the library to check on Lim Yo Hwan's triumph, yet it was in use by a Biology Class. Last period of the day, I had Computer class, sitting right next to Mark. Under the watchful eye of our bitchy teacher, I stealthily navigated to TL.net, and found out the result. I looked Mark, and addressed him formally, "Marcus, BoxeR in Code S, Marcus, BOXER IN CODE S!"
