Actually now that I think about it, Sen won't be able to compete in the TESL if he's in Korea for the GSL..... Yeah it's probably Sen.

EG.Sen.
I think SEn leaving his Taiwanese fans for EG would end up like when Luis Figo left Barcelona for Real Madrid.

So EGMoon or EGmOOnGLaDe. Both make sense in multiple ways. GLaDe more so perhaps: His new team is due to be announced "around new year's", but the joke about being not from around here would be awful. I guess Australia counts however.

I really hope it's a relatively unknown player. EG's player poaching has kind of gotten out of hand (complexity CS team, I was playing cs competetively and remembered that quite fondly). It would instill a large amount of confidence in the team if they were to find a relatively unknown player and bring him to the competitive level through hard work and practice, rather what taking what talent is already there and using/abusing it until it no longer turns a profit. Teams as large as this should take alot of effort to bringing new talent into the community and it's deeply saddening that EG has never ever taken this stance. "Not from around here" could mean not from the competitive scene, although extremely unlikely I have my hopes.

new talent sucks, how many high level foreign players came from nothing? nearly all of them have been competitive for a long time in sc2 and most were competitive in sc1 or war3.

look at the rosters of any big teams, theyre full of famous names or they arent winning. eg does more for lower level players than any other good team. we have a practice house and have sent all of our players to multiple offline events. and believe it or not our lineup does not solely consist of me huk puma and demuslim.

He emphasized wc3 and big names. Case closed, its Moon.

Think you actually might be right..

you have to look at who would add something to EG's roster, a random zerg or protoss isn't going to cut it, I could only feasibly see them picking up another kor Terran because Terran are the most dominant race and arguably the easiest to be consistent with and so the investment has more chance of paying off whereas with a Z or P they could fall off with shifts in the metagame and the risk is greater for them to under perform, if they are going to go with a Z or P you have to look at the big names, and Moon is the only dude out there who would give an X factor that would benefit EG's current roster and, because of his big name, the reliance on him performing well is less of an issue (although, Moon has proven his competitive abilities in both WC3 and glimmers of it in sc2)

Moon or a good Terran is my guess, be surprised if EG add another random Z or P

I don't think it's Moon because it seemed like he wants to focus on WC3 more in his WCG interviews. Maybe the right amount of money could make him change his mind but comparing with his old deals with WeMade FoX etc it seems hard for EG to give a similar deal.

I love how every EG announcement of an announcement discussion starts up with intelligent guesses and gradually devolves into retarded ones as the date of the actual announcement closes in.

this is with all the announcements on TL the same. Especially if the new pro-player is a woman.

well personally i like eg current roster a well balance of high caliber players(idra, huk, puma) mid teir (demuslim, machine, incontrol) and up incomers (axslav, strifeco, LZgamer)

i hope that they don't throw away their up incomers division to go around buying high caliber players. it would be one less opportunity for the NA up incomers

Be careful saying that here. A couple pages back, an incredibly informed, polite, reasonable, and intelligent individual said it's only worth it to teams like EG to buy Tournament-dominating players. Basically saying that the best move for an ESPORTS team is to adopt a philosophy that stifles ESPORTS.

All I know is if they recruit another Korean, when mouz loses to them again, everyone will bash EG because they have korean players. Which isn't right. TL has the same amount of Koreans and get revered for their victories. I guess it's the fact that most of the outspoken members of this community are European and want to see European champions.

I think its more that just that.

TL has never poached a player on another team before in sc2. EG has done it many times, though have been unsucessful in doing so except in the case of puma and HuK. TL's Koreans have been recruited usually though more than friendly means with both the former team and liquid. from what I understand. Nazgul was approached by TheWind to recruit Zenio.

EG does have a bad reputation among the esports scene's. With many of their players having their fair share of haters, and people who dislike their business ethics.

If they're getting Moon, they will not lose to mouz.

More likely most of the outspoken members of this community are foreigners and they want to see foreigner champions.

But it's not like EG is the only team trying to get players. Every big Team does it (prime example: Stephano) and it isn't wrong.
And both trades with Huk and Puma were on friendly terms. TL agreed to this (Tyler even said Huk should go) and TSL also agreed (The coach agreed first, but changed his mind later on).
I don't get why everone is concentrating on EG?

Do you know what poach means? You can't poach players. Players think for themselves. Players decide where they want to go.
