Is it anyone who competed in MLG or do they have to be on a team or what? I believe it's top 64 in MLG rankings.

They don't have slush on best cheese lol, to quote Artosis he is a "low income specialist!"
|
The pros paid as much attention to these choices as NFL players do to the pro bowl special team picks....

Nestea didn't win best zerg? o.O

Them Huk fangirls and fanboys

Pretty fun to do the voting, however I wish there were more options for some of the categories.

My thoughts:
Breakout player: Deservedly won by Leenock. Not sure why Stephano is even on the list when he only attended 1 MLG and placed 18th.
Most underrated: Doesn't the fact that Haypro won this by such a large margin prove he's not underrated? Should have gone to Slush. And why the hell is MC even an option?
Best Zerg: The pros are right on this one. DRG placed higher than Idra at all 3 MLG's he attended.
Best Protoss: On the other hand, I think the fans are right on this one. All 3 nominees finished as the highest placing protoss in an MLG, but Huk was the only one who actually won one and Naniwa's Providence run was more impressive than any of MC's runs.
Best Terran: Sorry MMA fans, MVP placed higher in both MLG's where they both attended.
Best Macro: Would have loved if Idra were an option just to see exactly how highly the general SC2 community thinks of his macro.
Best Overall Player: Not complaining about MVP winning, but why was Hero a nominee while Naniwa who finished #1 in ranking points isn't?

I too thought it would be like that, but judging by the top 3 for each category I can't imagine that's the case.

From the title i thought MLG had started supporting abortion clinics.
+ Show Spoiler +Should be Pros' Choice Awards. ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif)

I don't think it says that anywhere but the poll is on MLG's website and only players who participated in MLG were nominated. Based on that I feel like voting should be done based on MLG results exclusively so that's what I did.

hahaha mvp won like half the awards xD
|
I don't know what you guys are complaining about. Most of them seem pretty fair to me, but consistent bottom place results are overrided by top level results even if it's just for 1 event and I think that's fair.
Also, idk why but the way the slides work it hurts my eyes.
Meh, I guess the 2nd and 3rd choice awards could have been better. If the pros picked it it's probably not because of pure MLG results.
|
Haypro got most underrated! That run last MLG was truly awesome!
|
How did MLG classify "pros"?
I was shocked that the three choices for best player was MVP Huk Hero. The last two don't come close, not until they do well in the GSL. I can maybe see Huk/Hero as best Protoss, but neither are top 10 overall player imo.
As for most creative, how did TLO not get on that list? And Sjow ranked above Boxer, wtf?

QFT. How does MMA not get mentioned when it comes to multitasking? Naniwa isn't know for timings? I'm curious how they are getting the pro's opinions and who these 100's of pros are.

the best showmanship award is unfair. all of them deserve it
|
I don't particularly like the choices for some of these like best cheese should be a build same with most creative the best sportsmanship also, I wanted to vote for the guy who threw two games against WhiteRa after WhiteRa got a DQ but alas he wasn't there They also probably could've had a best korean best non korean and best team categories.
