Only complaint I have is when big fights are going on and you get a little worked up (which isnt a bad thing), then start just saying what is happening. I've never been a fan of this sort of play by play casting (why i dont like most casters), really like it when the caster can do some analysis. Of all the casters i have seen you are in my top ten though =D

To be honest, I didn't really use to like your casting, but you've improved so much recently, and now, you and Wolf are one of my favorite casting teams, especially because of your versatility and both of your abilities to be both play-by-play and analytical with regard to what is needed. You have fantastic knowledge of the game, and more importantly, you are very much aware of your level of knowledge of the game, which leads to some great strategic analysis. Sometimes, you get into periods of minutes at a time where your speech starts to slur 'cause you're processing too much on screen, something pretty much every caster I know of has gone through, I'm sure. Try slowing down the word flow when that happens, instead of trying to catch up with what's going on. Noticed Day[9] doing it in some MLGs last year, and it improved my casting substantially.

I have never been a huge fan, and that is the reason why I wont be going into great depths explaining my validation of you as a caster. However, this post is concerned with a situation that happened on GSL last thursday, that, because of its nature, made me feel obligated to say something. The situation I am refering to is the one in wich Wolf was giving his description of low fat cheetos (or something like that). He made an argument concerning their usefulness ("you can touch your friend if you want to). I found your reaction to Wolfs said argument to be so blatantly homophobic it felt offensive."If you start touching me, there will be a fist coming away so fast you wont even be able to dodge it." Really? I know this is something many would reply with, but doing so live in front of thousands of people comes off very unproffesional and, for some, even offensive. No matter what your thoughts are on this subject, I would advise you to keep it to yourself or at least modify its form when you are on the air. Or maybe he just doesn't like to be touched by ANYONE. not just males? There are many people with social anxieties like that. People with asperger for example often have it, not implying that Khaldor has asperger btw ![]() http://www.fearofstuff.com/objects/fear-of-being-touched/

The only thing I don't understand is why isen't dApollo casting GSL instead of him or Wolf. P.S. this tweet by him made me cringe. IMO its very dumb to say this: "Thomas Kilian @Khaldor When will people finally understand that the job of a caster is NOT to please every individual viewer but the broader audience as a whole?"

I think he is somewhere between mediocre and okay. The only thing I don't understand is why isen't dApollo casting GSL instead of him or Wolf. P.S. this tweet by him made me cringe. Just a quick question: You do understand that, right?

I think Khaldor in general is a good caster. Very energetic and well spoken (compared to other german casters, I don't feel the need to throw up when listening to his english) However, I feel like he doesn't play the game as much as a caster should, that is propably because he is casting 26hours/day average. Still I feel like that is a huge deficit. Plus the need to appear so strong and tough, I don't get it. If someone trys to make a joke why threaten physical violence?! It just annoys me and the people I have spoken to. We all know you work out. We all know you are in exceptional shape. No need to act tough during a cast. One should try to be funny and go along with a joke of one's co-caster instead of saying that he will get beaten up for this and that... It's sad because I think Khaldor might have the potential to be one of the absolute Top casters out there. With a lot more game knowledge and a bit effort to support his co-casters in almost all situations to avoid the awkwardness I get from every Khaldor dual-cast.

first of all thank you guys for the continuous feedback. I am still reading this thread and I will do so in the future as well ![]() ![]() Regarding us pointing out mistakes: I feel that most comments about this actually are written by fans of certain players that lost a game due to mistakes we pointed out. I can understand that people are disappointed but you have also to understand that it is not only our job to talk about great plays but also about what went wrong or what could have been done better. I try to do both and quite often when I get negative feedback about being to harsh on a player the person criticising seems to completely ignore that just five minutes ago I also pointed out what he did well and what things about his performance impressed me. The second thing I want to point out is the tweet that was quoted above. I don't know exactly why that would make someone "cringe". It's the plain and obvious truth (is that statement even contestable?). Different people like different ways of casting. I have a style that some people love, other people might not like it. That's how the world works. It's not our job to please EVERYONE. We can't, it is literally impossible. We have our strengths and our weaknesses and I will always try to improve. But at the same time I have to realize that I will never please everyone out there. Thanks again for the feedback, hope you guys enjoyed this weeks casts! ![]() Cheers, Khaldor PS: please also understand that casters sometimes have a bad day. Sometimes you have a shitty week or a shitty day and your cast with be off. The same thing happens to players too (and I guess to everybody else as well ![]()

I'm sorry that you don't enjoy it but I have a different approach to a shoutcast. I personally dislike it if a casting duo is not able to express excitement and entertain me while there is a huge battle going on. That's exactly why I mentioned earlier that different people just like different things. Cheers, Khaldor ![]()

Keeping the cast exciting that way. Instead of the usual downer comment "ok that's gg" when the game goes on 20 min after, but casters made me lose all excitement.

Oh, I actually wanted to say that the casting tonight was terrific. Symbol v Sculp- the casting was great. Lots of excitement and pretty accurate observations on what was happening and what each player needed to do. Good job.
