hints of DRG persuading MC to not try so hard against him so that he can be first in the group. DRG saying he won't buy MC dinner because MC was actually trying hard to win. Then in MC's interview, he assured stephano that was indeed trying to win even though there was nothing on the line for him.

For example, DRG may be referring specifically to Stephano's ZvZ, while MVP might be referring to his ZvT, etc. Exactly. And I have to point out that those korean progamers can see much more from another player's gameplay than we can. There's no point arguing.

![]() Bit of a strange day really, could have been any of the top 4 who went through. In the end I'm happy that it was DRG, MVP and MC

If anything, it showed how much MC wanted to win.

Also it wasnt a fair system the ppl with 2-2 should have played a tiebreaker. You cant trust a person who has already advanced and no chance of taking 1st place. And i dont blame MC i blame GOMTV for faulty format MC just did the obvious maybe not losing on purpose but he wasnt fighting for his life either and thats when he is the best. Also instead of trying to go into the main after seeing 10 spinecrawlers he should have killed the ex-gold base reducing DRG to 1 base and he would have had a chance to take the game. Actually you shouldn't blame either. You should blame stephano for losing and then having to rely on MC to win to advance. Great interviews thanks for the translations :D

Please shut the hell up... gosh... do you know why Apple has many anti-fans? because of fan boys. The same can be said about Stephano. He is a good player and all but you don't have the rights to bring down MC like this.

The bias is strong in this one.

But then again, Stephano himself said he doesn't trust koreans. He should've advanced on his own and not having to rely to anyone. His fault for losing to MC and MVP. I dont think he threw it so Stephano wouldnt advance i think he didnt care enough to play his best. As you like to quote the interview "it doesnt matter if you are 2nd or 3rd in your group"....yes he said it himself.

As you like to quote the interview "it doesnt matter if you are 2nd or 3rd in your group"....yes he said it himself. This is a prime example of why people get misinformed easily in this forum. First of all 1. The translation itself says "to me 2nd and 3rd are the same" meaning that first was his goal but he failed. 2. It's a raw translation, so arguing over logistics is not even reasonable But heres where contradiction and double standard fail in TL. Majority of the people (mostly MVP fans) are bashing MC for all-inning and dubbed him as terrible. Yet when MC loses to DRG "he didn't try". I understand the idea is the same - fueling MC hate - but be consistent (not directed at you, but to all the haters). IF, IF MC did throw the game away, maybe because he just hates foreigner and DRG was his best friend in the world, so what? Stephano should've tried to win his games himself to advance.

It was against Hero and I thought he was very good. I was even emotionally touched with his play. If he participates in a GSL Code A qualifier, I am sure he has a really high chance of getting into Code S. As far as I know he is the first player who used Infestor build, playing against him did tell me that he has a distinctive style. He has got a good game sense with his own unique style. DRG + Show Spoiler + Q : How do you feel about Stephano after playing against him? I think he is a good player but his style is rather simple. His opponent can easily make a counter build-order against him. If players face Stephano bit more and take time to analyse his style, he should be a comfortable opponent. But his mechanics are solid. Kinda funny to see the different feelings. You can tell MVP studied Stephano and had a clear build prepared for him If I have to pick one, I would trust DRG's opinion more, just because he is a top zerg.
