Welcome to the Team ReIGN house, sponsored by IGN! The ReIGN House is located near San Francisco, California, in close proximity to IGN headquarters and is inhabited by some of ReIGN's professional players.
The players currently living in the house are: RGN.Artist - Wiki - TLPD RGN.Axslav - Wiki - TLPD RGN.giX - Wiki - TLPD
Less-known player Professor Oak also stayed at the ReIGN House, training with the others, but was not a member of Team ReIGN. Oak spent time at GOMTV foreigner house in South Korea and tried to qualify for GSL Code A, but was unsuccessful. He also trained with Team ReIGN before MLG Orlando at the Next Level LAN. Spades has also left the team and will not be returning to the house.
In February 2012, the house will have a new tenant: RGN.Inori - Wiki - TLPD
The President of Team ReIGN, Frank Fields (eSports Operations Manager at IPL) and General Manager of Team ReIGN, Dawn Moore, also live at the house to ensure that the players' needs are met and that they fulfill their practice schedules and other obligations.
Other members of Team ReIGN that will boot camp at the house for future live events: RGN.KiWiKaKi RGN.SLush RGN.Future
Team ReIGN Boot Camp
As a part of the partnership between IGN eSports and Team ReIGN, we will be venturing into the team house once in a while to check up on their progress, conduct interviews, and offer the players challenges. Here is the premiere episode of Team ReIGN Boot Camp, where the housemates are introduced and put to the test in a Free For All challenge.

Thanks for watching! If you have any ideas for what you'd like to see in an episode of Team ReIGN Boot Camp (challenges, interview questions, etc.), be sure to leave a comment here so that we can see it!
Live Webcam 24/7
Note: The Live cam is offline right now, but we're working on ways to improve the viewing experience and interaction for this stream, so expect to see it back sometime soon.
We have set up a stream that will run all day long that will show the players in their natural training environment. http://www.twitch.tv/ipl_reigncam1 is the URL, and will be seen in the non-featured streams on the right side of TeamLiquid.net as "ReIGN_Cam1." Our intention is to add 2-3 more cameras at different angles around the house so that at any time you can tune in just for a little bit of a feel of what it might be like to live with other pro gamers! From time to time, the guys may hang out in chat and interact with their viewers as well. If something unique is going at the house, we will try to let everyone know in this thread or our Twitter or Facebook. Drop in and say hello!
Stay up to date with IPL 4 Qualifiers, IPL TV, IPL Fight Club, and IPL Team Arena by checking our Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Twitch.TV!
Congratulations to the ReIGN guys, and good on IGN for continuing to support e-sports. IGN is slowly taking over as the main content provider for SC2 and their production levels are amazing.
What an awesome idea! Lani did pretty well there, it was fun to see the players enjoying the FFA. This is such a cool concept from IPL! Please keep up the good work!

The girl was a bit off-putting imo. It felt like she was trying to hard and her voice was just uncomfortable to listen to. I suppose she'll get more used to this kinda stuff over time, I just hope IGN is doing this with a girl not just because she's a girl.
Cool house though, ganging up on the Korean is good strategy

No offense, but wasn't the whole point of the teamhouse to have the entire team there? Only having 3 people seems kinda pointless, it looses most of the benefits, especially as Kiwi and Slush are star players for ReIGN.

There's 4 now, will be 5 next month, and Kiwi and Slush will be making extended trips to the house to train as well.

and Rich being the only one staying at home?
I think he would have been the one to benifit the most from staying at the team house. He would have great practice all the time. When it was announced he was going to be moving to the team house I was extremely happy, now to find out it'll only be for bootcamping. I'm kind of dissappointed. would love to have seen him after a month or two in the team house. Would be scary good.

Rich chose not to move in, unfortunately. He's still got a spot in the house if he ever changes his mind, but for now he's staying where he is.

I understand why he decided not to move. Still makes me think what if sort of thing. He is an awesome guy and an awesome player. In a teamhouse. Would make him top tier protoss.

I agree, he's an extremely disciplined played. I always thought he'd be one to benefit the most from the training house (and be a good role model to everyone else ^^
IGN is producing a stupid amount of awesome content. Love it. Hopefully the extended stays by Slush and Kiwi can convince them to stay there. Their presence could really bring up the overall level of play for the team.

Can't wait to see KiWiKaKi practice in the team house. He is easily my second favorite toss (White-Ra always first ♥) and hopefully he can start getting some good results. Something better than 2nd perhaps :D

I question if the players would want to eat what their teammates cook =P
Hmmm after watching it I would have liked if they did a bit in depth about how they train and maybe do some tips and tricks would be cool too. I dont really feel like I know anything about the players at all after watching the shows either which should be thought about.
I absolutely love the idea of a reality series on a pro house within the SC community. I even think the fact that since the team seems to not be that well known actually plays well into the show concept. When I saw it after a Team Arena, it just seemed a bit off. The title of the show makes you believe your going to see some type of SC training, like finger exercises, SC build order book studying, or anything to that nature. Instead it starts off with the players playing a 2v2 basketball game, which through me and the chat for a loop. They also played monobattles which seemed to be random as well. I'm aware that they are human beings and like to do things outside of SC, BUT it did seem a bit off that there was no realm of practice or something to allude to the "bootcamp" title. I loved when Lani was reading Q&A to the players, I thought that was genius. Overall I think the show is great and show be expanded to the other gaming houses because I feel that with shows like this the gaming community has a chance to break into TV, which would be great because I'm all about the growth of Esports. I would also like to extend my company's service to IPL to help out as much as possible. I'm a music publisher with a firm called BlueBird Music Publishing and have great songs that you guys can use in your productions, events, and streams. Check out the website and let me know what you think. I hope this feedback helps you and we talk in the near future.

It's just for fun. We'll be showing more of the hardcore elements of the team house in the future as well (amount of practice, tournament play, etc), but since this is for more then just hardcore SC2 fans, we wanted to open the series with things that are easier to grasp.
ReIGN Boot Camp - New Beginnings is now up. This episode deals with Spades' departure, ReIGN's performance in Team Leagues, and the arrival of a new player.
unneccesary perhaps but nothing wrong with it wouldn't call it ranting either.
personally i never really liked spades was hoping he'd leave the team. always felt like he was quick to blame matchups op or all ins noobs rather then be good himself he was blaming other things. to an extent i guess every one does that some times just felt like it was excessively the fall back excuse spades always used when ever he lost. And i guess it's hard for an outsider to tell whats friendly ribbing and whats not but i always thought he was rude to his teammates.
i don't want to give the impression i hated spades i hope he does well in what ever he does next. and he had some really good games for reign his sniping of idra in the first team arena and probably some others. but at the same time can't say i am all that sad to see him leave.
is it just me or did that episode really leave a depressing tone to everything? i hope reigns not falling apart.
Yay finally a new bootcamp vid. Been waiting for a while =P Thanks!
Edit: Great production quality on that latest video. I realllly hope they make a big splash in the team leagues cause they really do have the potential. Btw, Catz, you have the absolute best narrating/casting voice in the sc2 community lol - i can totally understand why you used to be on the radio XD.
They're cutting the team house if they don't win one of the team leagues? That seems like very high expectations considering how strong some of the teams are.

To clarify - people living in the house or the house's operation is not dependent on the team winning TAC 2 or NASTL or any specific requirements for any leagues or tournaments.
Very good videos! And very good individual interviews!
I'm very impressed that soooo sooooo many teams gets team houses to practice in. It edges out the quality of ur practice and it boosts everyone to get a lot better. Just love the idéas and the thing Regin has going on right now.
Too bad Spades didn't want to participate in this, wishs him gl anyhow.
On January 31 2012 11:12 Odal wrote: I don't like spades. But turning a pro starcraft team house into a gossip reality show just feels silly.
Nah, let's be realistic. Spades was just realising his place. He is probably the worst player on Reign at the time he quit, and a complete waste of space in the house for hopeful future tenants. One of the many relics in the foreign community who calls themselves a progamer with absolutely no results or anything to show for it.
Wow, that ending was intense. I hope Reign pulls through in the end and shows some great results this year. Axslav's entry at the end was pretty badass.

Thank god. But if you guys were to win either one, it would be pretty awesome. Best of luck to Reign and I hope you guys have a successful 2012.
Really sad to see Spades leave because the loss of his passion. Saw him play at a Local LAN and he seemed to love every moment of it. Got as far as Artist did in the tourney...
100% agree with Eee. What was the point of making the Spades thing? 3 episodes in and so far there's been nothing really about the players practicing or building with each other new techniques, moves or anything.
In this episode, we get what was just a normal separation between player and team to a now black painted scenario of miscommunication and somehow the managers feeling the need to explain something or "set the record straight" to a community that never inquired or asked. To boot, you shot yourselves in the foot by saying how you were going to kick him off anyways and he wasn't meeting up to par with expectations (among other things and I could go off on a tangent here, but it's not relevant [and no one is inquiring me to do so (hint hint)].
Then you get the last segment of giX saying his thing [which is fine] and Slush saying his thing [go Slush!], but after that, it's nothing to follow-up. There's no actual substance shown to their talks [he strives to play what? 30 games a day and you guys can't show at least one in-part or a segment to further emphasize how much they're trying? -- I'm not talking about those small spotlights, something a bit more... conclusive or beginning to end similar to how the FFA minigames you played in ep 1 or 2, I forget].
Nice touch at the end with Axslav, hoping the next episode has a lot more to show ):
I really liked episode 3. You can have the potential to win a team challenge! Your players are fantastic and your mentalities are strong! GOGOGOGOGO ReIGN!
