Two months ago the management and the majority of players on the VP professional players left for new and promising opportunities with Check Six Gaming. Indeed their accomplishments (and those of xSix as a team) are to be commended. But we at VP were given a fresh start with new faces and new talent. Today we are glad to announce that we are jumping up to the next step in the North American scene. We at VP and tQ are proud to announce that we are joining forces in order to continue our quest to become one of the top teams in North America. By combining the best and brightest of both our teams, as well as bringing on some top rated new-comers, we hope to hit the ground running and become one of the very best. Special thanks to our sponsor Nationvoice for being so supportive during our efforts.

As the Founder and President of VPGamers since 2002 it seems that we are heading into the right direction with a new super successful team that can now be, and will be, taken seriously in the Starcraft 2 Community. I cannot wait to see the types of matches in the upcoming months; I truly am grateful for this opportunity and honored to have the community behind me helping VPGamers be an overall great experience for anyone. 2012 is going to be an excellent year, if not our strongest, with our great new management team and players in the competitive gaming scene.

Even though we are sad to leave behind the name tQ and all its history and success, it is time for a new beginning. I am quite happy about this venture and feel both parties will greatly benefit. VP comment about the VP EU player search tourney fiasco:
In light of the recent tourney failures we at VP feel that we have to clarify our involvement with this event. The VP EU team was made and organized under the former Pro Team management. When they left to go to Check Six we had no more contact with them and assumed they had died. Charlie (OPtv on TL) recreated the team and organized the tourney independently without the knowledge of the VPGamers admins. We apologize for all the inconvenience that the players, casters, and spectators had. VPGamers is a community that has a strict anti bm policy and we will do our best to regain the trust of the community.

RIP tQ... the only 2 noticed name left are Wanabe and yrUSECC  mewtwo is ok-ish
no sky, no kyo... state left... not even orGETslam is in the roster :-/...
also what with the bail out in the VP tournament few days ago? i would not be so happy when my favorite team is merged with a shady organization.

Check out the bottom of the original post. That should explain your question about the tournament. We at VP have no affiliation with the individuals on the EU side who claim VPGamers. We do apologize for the wrong doings of that individual to the individuals who were going to partake in the tournament, cast, and watch, but we do not have any association with those individuals.

VP is a legit organization don't question that, although I cannot speak on behalf of their management, I know that this merger will due justice to the remaining players for the better.
Give them your support they still have so many names with such huge potential they just need community backing. You saw what the last VP elite team was capable of

Here's what happened to tQ:
- WinteR and aquanda to xSix, WinteR brings in Gordok to be new manager
- Kyo and SLAMT to Convergence Gaming
- Sky and Drone to Clash
- Dante and Zander to Rev
- Gordok talks merger with VP
Basically everybody left before any merger talks with VP, so there were no hard feelings or ill will towards VP, this just happened after everyone had moved on. VP is a fantastic team and tQ did well in merging with them.

This is huge, I know a couple of players such as Aseyohyeon. Wasnt iNFUSED in x.six? Regardless, you guys got a good pickup with him.

Sungpa, Wannabe and Tyrant are all fantastic players, good pick up i thought they would go to another team. The 2 Uvic players on the other hand..... Now will they finally believe that Tyrant and Xog are 2 different players...??? What a bunch of jokes lol :S

Concerning your website, if you're going to carry on using the Dominion theme, please make it look better, as of right now that site looks unprofessional!
Your favicon also doesn't match the site at all
Forums: you could possibly integrate it with the Dominion theme so it looks a part of the actual site etc!

The .ico file is is being redone as well as our forum template. It will end up matching completing the entire experience on our website to be one look. You would be the first to say our site looks unprofessional however I'm sure you won't be the last.
