Dear TL users, I am in the esports scene for quite a while now and what I miss is a betting website with active esports and sc2 bets. XLbet used to be a website with eSports as a main betting part but it sadly it closed.
I know Korea has something with esports bets because esports is quite big in this country. PaddyPower or something like this has from time to time some esports bets but nothing serious.
so my question to the community is where I can i bet with real money at sc2 matches? and is it possible to visit Korean websites and bet on them ?
ty for ur help hope to get some good answers, Kind regards
I think that pinnaclesports is a trustworthy company. They look very legit and i haven't found and article of complain on their services. But i think the main problem with esports betting is the format of the tournaments. Its hard for people to put up bets when they don't know the players eg. an MLG.
Pretty cool idea. I'd be wayyy too afraid to bet on SC2 right now, haha. It seems like no one consistently wins tournaments quite yet. I mean, the top 8 is consistently the same people, but not the top 4 it seems like.
Please everyone remember that betting real money will inevitably lead to losing real money. If you are going to bet, just for the heck of it, set yourself a monthly maximum, say 10 bucks. Hitting 2 or 3 wrong results in a row, money can vanish faster than you could possibly imagine. Odds are designed for you to lose money. The only one who wins in any betting game is the bookie. The best way in order to not lose money is simply not to bet. Don't even anyone dare to question this. No, not only others are stupid, you can be, too. You do not have a perfect system, because there is no perfect system. No, your friend of your friend did not win anything, especially not long-term, he is making stuff up. Be responsible and get rid of your illusion.
I don't know how to be clearer. I hope someone who wanted to throw his money away read this and stopped betting.

Wow, that is way way way too extreme. It will inevitably end with you losing real money if you bet on absolutely everything, if you bet cautiously on things which you are fairly sure about and are fairly sure the odds are good for you can most certainly win money. Your post reminds me very strongly of people who say exactly the same thing about poker, however that is clearly wrong, people play poker for a living.
I have made money from betting, not a lot but it's not like I lose money because I don't do it stupidly, I bet where I have a lot of knowledge and when I know the odds are good. The bookies are not knowledgeable on everything, while they try to bias the odds towards them often their ignorance causes you to be able to see an opportunity.

it would make games more interesting if you bet, lets say, 10 dollars in 3 separate games monthly, if you win, keep betting what you won and dont put more into it, its difficult to get wrong doing that, i believe

betting is much much more random than poker, why high ranked players are always the same in poker tournaments? and what about betting? you just cant be a professional at bet, so its much more difficult to ensure win
edit: sorry double post, thought i saw someone posting before my second t_t
