He done bad, he bloody knows! You mean just like how 18 years old kids don't know what signing a contract means after 2am? Something like that will never work in korea.

Of course I agree, but I feel that pulling him out of code S for wanting more practice in a stressful setting with something on the line is quite an overreaction, especially when its pretty clear this whole "match-fixing" thing is really just him giving Byun a game for a friend and for practice, not because he got any money off of it, or they had a deal prior.

It's still a tournament no matter how you try to frame it.

Okay, it's a little annoying for the tournament organizers, but hey, one more game! It's not as if one of them had played worse as normal in the second game or in the third game and lost on purpose, as it's the case in many other tournaments (i.e. SeleCT as he played MC in NASL). Aren't all the no shows in the ESV more disrespectful towards the tournament? They actually "steal" games.. Should Idra give up his GSL spot as well, since he left one TLOpen in the semi-finals after losing the first game? He "discredited" one tournament as well.. It would be different, if there was a Code A spot to win, but as it isn't I don't understand all this drama.. Ofc it was stupid, but was it bad? And strange that none of the Slayers Terrans wanted to practice with Coca, is he the new Yugioh?

You realize that people say that when it comes down to normative things? Of course I'm "holier" than CoCa after he's shown to be pretty much objectively reprehensible. The whole holier-than-thou thing you pulled applies to people who come up with subjective "ideas" and present them as fact and such. It's "pretty clear"? It's a tournament, you can't justify forfeiting a game you're winning. Especially not to someone who has a code A spot to gain. This is pretty much fraudulent.

I understand that its a tournament game, and that he should be warned to not do something so reckless again, but this was not previously arranged like the horrific incident in BW, and therefore should not be treated with the same level of intensity? Banned from Code S? Kicked to the B team and sent home? I fully understand the ban from the weekly tournament, but this was fairly innocent in the scheme of things, and I think the shame of it being so widely publicized should along with the weekly ban should be enough to teach him not to do these kinds of things. We're being way too judgemental about a player who made a rash decision to practice better for his code S group once. If he shows hints of such behavior again, let him have it, but for now, I think we're way overreacting...

You don't understand... dishonor, blah blah blah, in korea blah blah blah. Everybody wants to show how much they care about esports by butchering some random player because he made a small mistake by listening to a friend. Nobody seems to be mentioning Byun even though he was completely the driving force behind it. Stuff like this makes me seriously hate this community sometimes.

Only case of ladder abuse I remember was choyafOu offering to settle games via rock paper scissors to abuse the system and get more points. He was banned from the GSL for one season.
