Blizzard Entertainment put this onus on themselves and it's up to Blizzard Entertainment to prevent it from happening. The way they've designed their game, no other company or organization will ever have the control or influence necessary to prevent this from happening. Blizzard is never going to step in as long as their revenue isn't affected. If Gus paid Blizzard, then Blizzard doesn't give an eff how he screws everyone else. Money is all that matters. Well, that and they want to keep these clauses around for when they actually decide they need them. They're an insurance policy, not a mission statement.

User was warned for this post You do realise you are on a site that promotes Starcraft and tournaments >.> When thousands of dollars goes missing it doesn't really matter whether if it's related to starcraft or not, it's theft and fraud anyway. (Talking about HoN money). The whole thing seems like a bit of a nightmare for people involved.

Acting this outraged about some esports topic that isn't really important? It's becoming as common on TL as "ruining esports." how is this not important? This guy (and probably most of the higher ups of Team AZK) has screwed IPL out of money and screwed over a TON of players along the way the IGN thread lacks details and most people in the thread are discussing IGN's involvement I made this thread because he puts a face to who caused this huge mess

Rigging entire qualifiers, stealing sponsorship money, cheating people out of hard earned qualifier spots, advertising tournaments that never happen, lying to anyone and everyone, damaging an entire scenes reputation.... What would be important to you?

People were doing there best to build bridges from SEA to the rest of the world and this basically means we're back at square 1. I think we should wait for Team AZK's official response though before we start suggesting who's going to be responsible. Although it's looking a bleak for them, I'll hold my judgement until they've officially released a statement. Hasn't the fact that they have yet to say anything at all, speak volumes?

What would be important to you? The only possible point of this thread is to serve as a verbal lynch mob of the organizer. There's no reason this topic can't simply be brought up in a post in the other thread. Are you guys going to start a fund to help IPL hire a lawyer in the Phillipines? Also "damaging an entire scenes reputation" is the type of exaggeration that is typical of threads like this and only creates problems when it gets repeated enough. Not to mention the fact that we haven't even heard both sides of the story. Can you think of any other threads in recent memory where people were lambasting one party as guilty before hearing the other side, and then after hearing the other side switching opinions entirely? EG/TSL, Major/Sixjax perhaps?

I'd give them a day or two after the tourney to explain themselves. I don't think what their going to say would have an impact after this debacle though, but it's only fair to hear both sides of the story.

EG/TSL, Major/Sixjax perhaps? You ever heard of bad publicity? There is a reason IPL answered so fast and pulled support from the tournament. That is part of the reason for threads like this. Also to let everyone know to never support Gus or Team AZK ever again. There was no exaggeration, if you read any of the SEA community members posting you might have known.
