hard to knock a guy when he has reasoning like that.. gl sase, you are a fantastic player and whatever tourney has you in it is lucky to have you!

Good luck in the other tournaments, it will suck to not get to watch you play, but there will be many more MLG's in the future.

MLG is completely silly if you have to compete in the open bracket anyway. That's only doable for those that dwart the others in skill, not any non-korean atm.

The extra traveling is probably not worth it GL HF.
I had a good night of sleep.

That's the right decision for sure. GSL is the most important ofcourse and Dreamhack being in Sweden will make sure SaSe will have loads of fans cheering for him. The prize pool for Dreamhack is also very big, almost 30k dollars first place prize.

Isn''t Providence the biggest prize pool? I'd skip Sweden. Providence is going to be fucking sick!

If you read the interview he said he REALLY wants to goto dreamhack so that he can go home and see his family as well as pay tribute to all the swedish fans who have been supporting him. Why would you skip the event that allows you to do that just to be placed in an open bracket that you might not make it out of? His choices seem logical to me.

Understandable decision with the sort of open bracket he'd have to deal with on top of excessive travel.

Look forward to seeing him on the circuit next year.

MLG offers more prize money than Dreamhack this time around.
Still glad to see him choose his homeland over the bigger prizepool at MLG!

I can't wait for Dreamhack Winter, I'm in love with the line-up.

Don't blame him for avoiding what is by far the toughest of those 3 things.

If he was seeded he'd def take the MLG spot instead. Would be stupid not to.

In terms of the amount of playing hed have to do i agree, but GSL is by far a much tougher tournament, since after MLG dallas the only players who have won MLG are players that are in the GSL, think about that ^^

This. Passing on GLS or DH for a spot in MLGs open bracket doesnt seem like a good choice.

Good choice. The prestige and the skill level of the GSL make it the only tournament worth sacrificing for and a championship there should be the main goal of any serious SC2 progamer.

The only reason I see that makes MLG worth attending over Dreamhack is to attain the code S seed. He'll probably have an easier time doing so rather than trudging through both Code A and Up&downs. I don't know if it's available to foreigners however..

Yeah I totally agree. It's a very smart choice. GSL will be extremely difficult as well but at least you'll get some days in between for turbopractice.

It sucks but KR to US to Sweden, yikes. There's no point of going if you gonna exhaust yourself and don't give it 150%. Also MLG open bracket is like the hell of tournaments lol GL in GSL, hope you do good :D

Not a problem at all! Pretty sure than any of us would gladly trade one MLG appearance in order for you to go to Dreamhack AND the Global freaking Starcraft League. Hope you enjoy seeing your family, friends and fans at dreamhack and do well in the GSL.
