Hey guys,
DoA and I are trying to get you some live footage and games casted from the Code A Qualifiers. Originally it was not planned by GOM to provide a stream. We set up a stream with our own equipment which is unfortunately not the best way but thought we'd at least try to give you some footage and an idea of how things are at the venue.

We are still setting things up and as I already mentioned the stream will be far from perfect. We cant use a second monitor which is annoying as well but we'll do the best we can to provide you with some coverage. I got my videocamera with me as well and we are going to interview some players later on.
Sorry we can't provide you with a better coverage. It was basically the decision of showing you what you can see right now or nothing at all.

Update:
Apparently the players dont want their games to be streamed. At least the ones of this group. Therefore right now we are not able to show you any games t_t We'll show the venue instead for now. Maybe we are allowed to stream some games later on.

Thanks a ton for this. For what reason is GOM not doing this themselves? Quite disappointing really, as it is certainly a highlight of the season.

Very much appreciated for throwing something together. I think I was one of the few on another board who realized these things were tonight (because it's Wed 12:00 KST in Korea when it's Tue 23:00 EST)

even though it sucks, I can understand why koreans wouldn't want their games to be streamed, a tournament like this defines a starcraft player's career and can be the difference between one turning pro, or not. No one wants added pressure that comes with streaming games.

we can hear you beneath the music but it sounds really muffled its tough to understand what youre saying.

Best part of these aren't always the games. We really want to see players just hanging out/playing.

Voice sound is a lot better than it was with the music overlapped. Video quality looks great (On Best).

ok some more sound feedback:
its still muffled (hope thats the right word, otherwise: dumpf) and theres some background noise.
khaldor is loud enough but i think doa is kinda silent.
all around it sounds like youre the guys on teamspeak/vent with the bad mics.

Yeah there is the background white noise that sounds like a fan/generator/air conditioning.
Game sounds are coming through at a low level, which is good since we can still hear them but it doesn't impede on the voiceover

Khaldor sounds fine, Doa is really, really quiet though.

DoA's mic still very quiet, it might be a problem with the audio settings.
Edit: Actually, it sounds like his mic isn't even on. I think we're hearing him through Khaldor's mic.

I think people weren't expecting coverage or didn't know it was tonight due to the time zone difference. If you're going to get some bracket action for the last 5 spots today it would help to get the stream listing bumped up to the On Air Events list plus some reddit promotion.

2nd mic is definitely not the same. Much lower, background static white noise.

While you were talking on the good mic it went away, as you stopped talking it came back. Still getting distortions while the music is playing because of it.
Static still persists while the music is turned off now.

Hm well can't change that. The microphone is not very good, the one I use is much better, thats probably the reason for at least some of the problems we have in regards to the differences between them right now.

I think your equipment might be registering the 2nd not very good microphone as constantly on so without any actual input it gives off the static.

Welcome back. Music is on and louder than before, but it's as clear as the good microphone test.

Ok great, we are going to get some food soon. I'm really sorry we could not show more games so far. We would love to, but we rely on the players and admins agreeing to us streaming. As I mentioned in the OP we try our best though :/

Grab some grub, assuming that the 2nd half won't start for another 50 minutes. Any and all games that you can show and cast is appreciated.
Without you guys we'd just be F5ing the korean gom site for the final matchups and results.

When you guys get back, see if you can scoop some information on any of the following:
1) Confirm who the MLG Code A invites are this season
2) Which foreigners will be attempting qualifications
3) Thursday Code A Qualifier coverage?
4) Any super secret details from the format changes that you can leak before the Group Nominations? Please? :D

Code A can't have group selections tomorrow, since the qualifiers are supposed to run until 2000 KST. GOM updated their schedule on the English site within the last hour to confirm Group Nominations at the normal 1810 KST.
