Major lolz if Huk rolls through MLG again. I know that these guys are the best right now, but I know some of the foreigners are capable of beating them. Idra and Huk being the most obvious choices, but lets not rule out Naniwa who has now gotten a chance to play Nesteas and see them up close at Blizzcon. And the map pool won't be as retarded!

Won't happen unless several miracles occur like the top tier koreans knocking eachother out and Huk dodging them all. Remember how mvp absolutely demolished huk in GSL?

After what happened at BlizzCon, I hope NesTea takes it.....unless he runs into MMA, then I hope MMA wins :>

Huk/Idra/Naniwa/Stephano/(other best foreigners) are capable of beating most Koreans, but Nestea and MVP are on a different level compared to everyone right now.

I love Nestea and MVP, but this feels a bit like putting sharks in the guppy tank.

The foreigner skill level is high enough to at least give them a run for their money (actually more of a leisurely stroll for their money). Honestly, though, in all likelihood they will just demolish everyone they play until they face each other (or MMA if he's coming). I hope not...I don't find massively one-sided games very interesting.
You know what unit really has balance problems? Colossi. Why, they look like they could be blown over in a stiff wind!

I feel that the favorite to win would still be MMA, simply due to his seeding. MVP and Nestea are certainly dominant, but by no means invincible. The open brackets are treacherous, especially during the national championships. Remember that players such as Alicia, Alive and Polt have all failed to make pool play during MLG (though Polt did advance very far through the loser's bracket). The fact that MMA is already so far up in the tournament is a huge advantage.

Still, best of luck to MVP and Nestea. Should make this tournament the must-see tournament of November, if not the year.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people are confused with the Global Inv thing. The finals of the global invititational are AT MLG Providence, but not related to the event. Nestea and MVP are going in the open bracket. In other words, if MVP is in the grand finals of the Global Invitational then he is competing in 2 events whereas Nestea just needs to roll the open bracket.

Didn't MVP win one of the Mlg events this year? If so, isn't it a little strange that you can *win* one of the qualifier events and still not get a seeded spot into what is effectively the finals which all the "qualifer events" have been leading up to?

And this event is shaping up to be awesome, so many good players :D
Personally i hope Incontrol finally gets his act together and wins the entire thing, that would be the perfect fairy tale ending.

The way the points end up working is that you have to go to at least 2 events to have enough points for the championship.

Oh yeah, now MVP is the winner of the American SC scene. Because Code-S wasn't enough? Not october, MMA won that, but I mean in general.
I hate when people compare SC2 and rochambeu. One race isn't fucking supposed to counter another one. | Protoss isn't OP. Their units on the other hand....

I dont think MVP or Neaste will win. Tbh plowing thru the open bracket will take a lot of games and effort, they will probably be very jetlaged and when they reach the final rounds they will face players who have just been resting and chilling for the entire tourney, planning exactly how to beat them.

I think even Huk, Idra and Naniwa could do it with the retarded setup that MLG have.

Tbh if one of them win this MLG it should be a freaking huge thing, but it wont feel as epic when you know how big difference there is between how many games MVP and Neaste have to play compared to Idra, Naniwa and Huk.

LOL, win......

But this can only happen if MMA shows up...

Otherwise, I think Mvp's got this!
