I think MLG is supposed to be for people that are not in Code S. Not for ppl that DOMINATE the SCII scene, have won 3 GSLs, and were just invited to Blizzcon.
Don't get me wrong, these two are GODS and I love watching them play.... But they're basically taking away the opportunity for others to join them in their world :/ http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=276297but the thing is that there are no korean seeds this time for the MLG-GSL exchange in the format for providence in that thread. also, the code S spot goes to the highest placing person OUTSIDE of code S and mvp, bomber, and huk, who won the last 3 are all code S. MMA, who won the won before that just won code S. Ahh kay, mb. I didn't realize Providence was like the grand MLG. So, this is basically not the same as other MLGs, correcT? This one has not Group stage I believe. One 32 man Championship bracket with 16 of the seeds going to players based on points earned over the previous events, and the other 16 seeds based on the top 16 players from the 256-man Open Bracket. I am not sure, but I think players with points get priority in bracket seeing in the Open Bracket too if they do not have enough to qualify for the Championship Bracket. In this case, MVP gets seeded into the Championship Bracket, while NesTea has 0 points so he starts at the very bottom of the Open Bracket and must earn his Champion Bracket spot. MVP doesn't get a championship bracket seed, he's in the Open Bracket.

So obv MVP has a chance to take all the money from tournaments Blizzcon, GSL, MLG Providence(50k).. He will be rich

I wonder what will happen to their GSL performance now..

IM for top 2 in providence! I feel so jealous of the random open bracket people who get to be completely destroyed by NesTea.

MVP is destined to go to code A now. It's the GSL finalist curse.

Oh hell yes! Gonna be amazing.
|
Now the only question is, who will get 3rd place?
|
Well I guess slasher should definitely make a bet on this one...

I'm going to MLG Providence for my first event ever as a spectator AND Nestea is going to be there? Best $25 I have ever spent in my life. So many nerd chills!!
|
Yes! Its about time! Hopefully Nestea will find a way to beat MVP this time though.
|
This time I'm calling Nestea as the winner. Come on buddy.
Btw, the two of them must have some sick parties. And now Quantic is giving them free vacations to win even more money on. Awesome.
|
LOL Nestea & MVP... seriously? That's kind of unfair.
|
Too bad the format doesn't allow a Korean top 16
|
Guess the Koreans decided foreigners aren't allowed to win any more MLGs. :p

So they had it easy before? ^^ Nah, this is quite sick and a good thing for non-koreans, as least you can messure your skill quite well with them. if you have to play them, it should be a great honor.

Keep in mind that nestea and mvp can match against eachother in round1 off the open bracket

IdrA went through open qualifiers to get into the GSL 3x in a row. That's right, he qualified exactly how every korean did. There weren't "codes" back then, but the principle is the same. back then bitbybitprime and TLO also qualified.. heh
Well, TLO was still quite good back then, until RSI hit him.

I hope for another IM final
