Player lounge is something that had been thought up by TL themselves to organize but I don't think it ever happened. Obviously it's a really good idea. For Dreamhack to do it is incredibly valuable. If I would try to list the things Dreamhack has helped push as a standard for spectating I would forget at least one because there's so many. Edit: 'I just realized that other events must have something like that as well, but you don't really see it so I was wrong for saying it like that that. And I forgot to mention the presence of the sports physiologist. For which the text would have made sense.' The heartbeat monitor has potential. As long as it doesn't move easily so players get uncomfortable or is too tight it can be a good addition. Either way it will be really nice to just find out. I think if it's done well and with the addition of the player camera, it will add a ton of excitement and emotion for the viewer. The cancellations are unfortunate, but they are to be expected and I would hope there is a rule that sets a deadline for being able to cancel without having to pay a fee or become subject to a similar repercussion. To elaborate, a rule could be that a player is allowed to put a possible last minute cancellation in, if that is turned in before the deadline for that, and another for the final decision. It would allow them to warn everyone in advance, reducing the potential backlash and create a lot of understanding for the situation. In addition to allowing possible replacements to be set up before the final decision is even known. I read the rules document as well. Very meticulous. Overwhelming line up of players. Super psyched for the event! Hope everything runs smooth and everyone has a good time. | ||
