MVP probably for SK, but I'd be happy with a Puma win. Losira and Bomber, even MMA all have chances though because TvT can be kinda volatile and Losira is really good.
I want to say Naniwa/Thorzain, possibly SaSe for EU

I guess they invited players from their ranking, since every player from EU is ranked pretty high. Many of the players you mentioned hasn't even competed in the MLG before. then how did they invite destiny who barely has any ranking points? or Sase who has never competed at any MLG ? and why arent TLO or Socke invited then who have more ranking points than Jinro, thorzain or whitera? and also whats the points of inviting 6 swedes? lol wheres the diversity? Why wouldnt they try to use this to get new europeans to mlg who didnt see any reason to fly over before instead of inviting those who attend anyways (and some of whom are significantly worse than other potential invites.)

Round 1 EU: 1. Both Nani and Sase are godly at pvp, this will either be an interesting match or a series of fourgates. 2. No offense but Thorzain will probably stomp Haypro even with his weakness to zerg. 3 Ret vs white-ra could go to either player 4. Sjow vs Jinro: My money is on Sjow what with Jinro slumping but Sjow's TvT quality fluctuates enough that Jinro could certainly take this if he put the effort in. NA: 1. I love Destiny to bits but ZvZ is Idra's strongest matchup if I'm not mistaken. 2. Sheth should have zero problems beating incontrol ( again no offense) 3. Slush vs tyler comes down to who wants it more. 4. Kiwi should beat major if he brings the same quality of skills he brought to the last mlg. Korea 1. Mvp vs Puma ... no fucking clue man no fucking clue. My heart says Mvp though. 2. Bomber is the favourite but we do know he is not unbeatable. I think how much Coca dwells on mlg could play a factor here. 3. Could go either way, both players are well aware of how the other plays and how best to beat them. possibly the most interesting round one matchup we can get. 4. Hero shows a lot of promise but Losira's best matchup is versus protoss so i expect the IM zerg to pull out a win here. /analysis. Sorry I talk a lot

What? It's hard to argue that White-Ra is better than Nani right now

True, didn't think of Sase. It was just a guess. And we don't know that they didn't invite players like TLO or Socke, maybe they did but they said no? Or maybe they didn't. I can agree that 6 swedes is kind of over the top. Maybe we will get some hint or statement from MLG about the reasoning behind the invites.

In the end, the winner of each region will take home $2,000 in cash, and will also earn an all-expenses paid trip to MLG Providence, where they will take on the winners of the other two regions, and the Blizzcon Champion. These four players will play best-of-three matches in a single-elimination Finals for the Championship. The winner of the Global Invitational Finals will take home an additional $3,000, bringing the total winnings for 1st Place to $5,000. I wonder what happens when MVP wins Blizzcon and this tourney, hehe. Fixed ![]() lol j/k should be fun!

I don't mind any of the invites just happy for more SC2, can't always have all the top players at each event/tournament.
