FXOSLoG Andrew An FXOsC transfers to team MVP! Wish him the best luck!
This just came up on twitter in the last minute. That's a huge loss for FXO and a huge boon for MVP.
Edit: FXOChoya just confirmed the news as well on Twitter and hoped everyone would wish sC all the best at his new team. Class move and it sounds like it was a mutual move.
FXOpen's Response

crap, does that mean we see more sc and less keen in team leagues? I really like keen's ceremonies... <.< Congrats to sC, though. Changing teams means that the conditions for him become better.
I wonder if he left because they offered him something great or because he was having some issues with FXO/FoU.
It's weird.. I thought everyone in FXO was really "close" and going along really well. Obviously that was a feeling I had based on nothing, yet, that's what I felt.

Good luck to him.
I am interested since FXO seems to have some pretty decent backing and for a player of that calibre the money should have been there to match any offer pretty much.

Is there any news? I thought he had surgery ? :o
He didn't compete for them in their most recent TL match, but it was mentioned on the cast that he should be back in time for the Code A matches and he's making a good recovery. I'm just glad he's going to be ok:D

I thought it was Puma on EG?
Lol
J/k
If you think EG are bad then you're actually mentally retarded, or extrmeely arrogant. <3
EDIT: Kinda sucks actually, I always though of sC as like an underdog type of guy, so when he did well it was awesome, kinda shakes up the image I had of him
Good for him, for sure! But am I the only one who thinks sc is really overrated? D: He's had some fantastic games, and made a good run here and there but I don't look at him as an ace, or anything. Solid player, but not top5 terran or anything, like people constantly try to make him out to be.
This is odd. One would have thought that being the ace player for a team like FXO would have had better career prospects then being in DRG's shadow in MVP. Unless of course the partnership with coL is giving MVP more money to throw at players then i thought.
We need a IM vs MVP GSTL final (if thats even possible) with a 4-4 tie and a sC vs Nestea final match. The universe would implode from the potential awsomeness =).
wish you the best of luck sC. Hope your tworax still stands with 5 sec build time increase ^^
... i liked SC and i like FXO... but MVP is truly a good team and it can only help Sc But Sc seems to be the 4th player on MVP DRG>keen>genius>Sc? am i missing someone?

They are playing in the first round of the playoiffs, so no we wont have a final
Damn. I was never a big fan of FXOKorea but sC was the one player from that team who I really liked (not to say I don't like any of the other players, but not many stand out to me). On the other hand I already linked MVP quite a lot, so this will only help. It sucks that FXOKorea lost their ace player, but I think this team switch will help sC as well as MVP.
Also lets not forget that this means Complexity might fly him out to an MLG! :D
Does anyone know an update on his health situation? He is an awesome player so this is a good pickup for MVP. He's real young too so he will fit into what seems to be a fun natured group of guys.
Well lets hope he will do better on MVP than he did previously on FXO/Fou. Given that korreans don't really seem to care about teams when they choose they most common practice partner, I can't see a reason for the switch, maybe he was just getting along better with the mvp guys/had some issues on fxo.
Interesting move. Wonder why he would move because I'm sure fxo has money to send him to foreign tourneys. This will decrease drg's gstl fantasy value because mvp gains another player that can actually win games, so drg won't need to 3/4 kill teams anymore.
On September 10 2011 01:11 Arceus wrote: lol mvp feels the need to power up before the playoff. great move for sC nevertheless
he cannot play in the playoffs, because all teams need to stick to a fixed roster that they announced before the league started. I think this is why some foreign players who just recently moved in cannot play.
MVP really racking up some great players and potential lately. Finally they have a worthy code S player though. Not saying the players are weak, but they are more of a row of hard hitters for teamleagues, whereas other teams has great boX players, but fail in teamleagues.
Anywya, take a hike, FXO.
On an unrelated note: I am tired of seeing relativly stale teams (teams bashing against a wall) buying great players to their roster, then get the bragging-rights of their performance (Hello, EG..).

Teams got to change their roster after week five. I guess it's the same after week 10 (aka end of regular season). Not so sure about it
I doubt keen is the ace terran for MVP to begin with. Seeing how they usually send out Noblesse despite losing so many times, he might be performing quite well in practice but choking in televised matches.
On September 09 2011 15:54 KingFool wrote: Keen's just lost his terran ace spot.
That spot always belonged to Guineapig's Terran. /jk
I don't want to derail too much, but I'm not so sure. I'm convinced that Keen is better than he's shown us, he does look good when he gets into his rhythm, but just seems to sometimes completely fall apart to early pressure.
Big pick up for MVP and a big loss for FXO. I'm interested to know what "expand his horizons" means though, I mean Col.MVP are starting to attend a lot of events, but so are FXO. I assume Col.MVP will be sending him to foreign events like MLG, but surely FXO were going to do that once he had recovered from his surgery. In fact I get the impression that, with the Korean and the Malaysian house, there is currently no team you can expand your horizons at more than FXO.

I don't think week 5 was set as a time they could change their roster, a transfer window if you will, I think its just that 5 weeks is just the time that a player can play for their new team after leaving their old one, and FD and Trickster just changed teams in week 1.
I wonder what MVP was offering that fxo couldn't. FXO seems to have some of the most resources of any team out there, though I guess MVP isn't too poor either, especially with the ever expanding CoL partnership.

uhhh he's been around in code S for a while, sCfOu... now he's in code A but I'd still consider him code S caliber, and one of the top terrans imo also the korean ladder king along with MKP
On September 10 2011 03:02 CptCutter wrote: who? is this somebody that changed their name to sC or a nobody on the rise like puma?
sC? sCfOu? FXOsC?
I'm pretty sure he's been using the name sC since the early days of SC2 and he's consistently been one of the strongest Terran's in SC2, probably peaking at coming 2nd to DRG in the LG Cinema 3D tournament. He's basically the king of 2 rax pressure.
On September 10 2011 03:02 CptCutter wrote: who? is this somebody that changed their name to sC or a nobody on the rise like puma?
Seriously?? You mustn't watch a lot of GSL. He's been very successful in code s, played that epic series against nestea in the semi finals one season, whilst making Ro8 in another. He is a very aggressive player with exceptional micro, which allows him to excel against zerg, but his struggles in the highly different tvt matchup have caused him to fall from code S for the moment, but he's really young and talented so I doubt he'll be gone for long.
From the outsiders perspective I don't know why you wouldn't want to work for FXOBoss, but this doesn't change anything about SC being a complete badass and I wish him luck getting back to code S next season.
Well sC has dropped recently, but he's still really good so great job for MVP to get a pickup and a little sad for FXO. at least all these transfers make for a lively competitive market which is good
Can he participate in the GSTL? I can only imagine that for their team if they can play Genius, sC, and DongRaeGu along with any of their other great players (viOlet, Keen, Noblesse, GuineaPig, ect.) is going to be downright scary. They're already a really scary team, but with sC they could easily become one of the top teams and unlike other top teams (IM...) they actually play their best players (honestly can anyone imagine if IM played like Happy > LosirA > MVP > NesTea? They wouldn't lose...).
Anyways, good luck to both teams and especially sC.

I think a couple of seasons ago I would have agreed, but Leenock and asd's recent performances compared to sC's make me think they are better. That being said once sC gets over his illness (I think he's still having problems, but I'm not sure).
MVP looks like a strong team as it was but with Sc there now its just gettign buffer will be great to see how much he puts into the team good luck to him
Wow, another transfer, seems like people are moving teams before "sc2Con" sets some rules in place (not that they are as controlling as KeSPA) I bet FXO is pissed. Good for sC though, MVP is a sick team.
I think it was said that sC moved to MVP since he doesn't want to be in a strict practice schedule of FXO due to his health issues. Kinda similar as to why viOlet left MVP.
Non-Korean owners suddenly make it okay for players to be poached? He wants to expand his horizons with a new team rather then one that we know will send their players abroad? With nothing coming the other way, the only thing mutually agreed on is that the decided not to say what caused it.

Stop witch-hunting.
FXO is fine with it, sC is fine with it, and MVP is more than fine with it. If there are no fingers pointing any which way, then I don't see what the issue is.

It feels weird a transfer happens and there isn't a whole lot of drama to go with it. Congrats to sC and MVP! Great pick up by them. sC will be back to code S in no time at all.

Because there is no room for drama. sC wanted to practice at his own pace rather than FXO's schedule, so he joined another team. There's nothing else to it.
Although rare, viOlet also left MVP without any drama, although that may be because noone even talked about it.

When did viOlet leave MVP? :O
A day before his Up/Down match, I think. I heard that he left because of conflicts with school and/or medical reasons.
Surprising move but good luck to sC on MVP. MVP is looking a lot stronger now.

viOlet left MVP due to health issues. The article also says he's considering to retire as a pro.
Wait... so MVP has somebody on their team other than Dongraegu? I always thought it was Dongraegu and a few people that were paid to stand there so that they could put DRG in the team league.
Not news I really expected but sC has fallen off the face of SC2 faster than anyone I can remember recently. I'm not sure in which league he's in at this point (code A?) so maybe it was his way of getting a fresh start. He was my favorite terran not too long ago so I hope he gets back to top shape soon.

You do know he has been having health issues recently right?
Surprising move. For being so relatively new to the scene MVP team must be a lot more stable than they seem if a medium-high caliber player like sC would transfer to them. Also surprising a Korean would leave FXO since it seemed like they had a lot of good opportunities there.
I sincerely hope that sC has a smooth recovery from his recent surgery, so he can dominate the scene again. Unfortunately FXO lost a great player, but MVP seems like a very scary team, with so many great players. Hopefully there is a sC vs Nestea GSTL rematch, would be sick if it has the same intensity as the previous match.

Most epic semifinals ever vs Nestea, next GSL he went to the up and down matches, so he only played the opening round, then this last season he was in code A, but then his lung collapsed so we didn't see him play, thats why you don't remember him recently.
I don't find this that surprising. What does surprise me is the slip ups that are still happening even with teams as big as FXO.
If you don't want your players (Slog), speaking out about such transactions/moves before you are ready to do the press release, you should really put it in their contracts. :/ Micromanagement. Let the players play and let your PR people do the rest.
The only move that has ever caught me off-guard was HuK to EG.
That's a pretty big loss for FXO. MVP's looking even more scary now however, definitely a good move for sC, MVP is a better team that FXO overall imo so he'll get some good practice.

IDK about salary, but MVP is partnered with complexity, and they're able to send players to foreign events (under coL.MVP tag) as well.

FXO still has some very good players! For some reasons FXOasd is always overlooked, and FXOSiriuS does not get enough credit either.
So im thinking most top players on korean teams must be getting salaries these days. I cant imagine SC not getting some sort of compensation on FXO, so mvp must have offered him something better....
I'm a bit concerned about what's going on with FXO... they've lost some really top players on their team lately... Sheth, Moonglade, sC... this is looking bad!
