With Naniwa and Thorzain missing too, it means the EU scene is missing a lot of top players.
Still, excited to see more games out of Huk, Dimaga, DeMuslim and mOOnglade.

Without GoOdy, Stephano and Nerchio NASL is missing the top EU players. Looks like an easy way to victory for the remaining korean players. I´m also not happy, that Goody was not invited (just look at my last post in this thread), but the bolded part is simply not true. Don´t get me wrong, Goody, Stephano and Nerchio are all amazing players, but that doesn´t mean that they are on a different level than the other top euros. What makes Stephano or Nerchio better than Ret, who won the EU bnet inv. or Dimaga, who took down the assembly? I truly believe, that any of the five best players of each race in EU can take a series of another one. That makes the EU scene so exciting, because you can not really predict the results. And if I look at the current top Euros, which are IMO (in no particular order): Terran: Kas, Goody, Strelok, Thorzain, Sjow Protoss: Naniwa, Socke, White-ra, Hasuobs, Mana Zerg: Nerchio, Ret, Stephano, Darkforce, Dimaga then only six of them are missing in the NASL, which makes it the most staked tournament after the dreamhack. It will be by no means a walk in the park for the Koreans. Are they the favourites? Sure. Can and will upsets happen? You can bet on it.

However, somehow my feeling is that especially Stephano and GoOdy had the potenial to take some games from the korean players. While its obvious that NASL has to invite this mediocre NA Players, I dont understand why they choose some of the medicore EU players over players like GoOdy & Stephano without a good reason.

So, it was necessary to cut down on the number of players. Where's Stephano??!! Where's Nerchio While Nerchio didn't get an invitation into Season 2, we plan on inviting him to a special event that we will be hosting that will be announced, so you will in fact (if he accepts) be seeing some of him. Where's Kas I invited him, but never got a confirmation about his VISA status nor did I get a final confirmation from his manager that he could play. .... I'm not going to explain in detail every choice, but those hopefully will give some insight as to why we chose certain players over others, etc. We hope that you enjoy the player list we've put together and hope you will get ready for Season 2! Yup, although honestly, unlike some people who believe that Season 1/Open/Qualifier results should be stuck to...I believe Season 2 should have and have every right to be an invitational tournament. NASL was put in a difficult position and had every right to deviate from their open and qualifier results to make up for any talent that they lost, as it would be better overall for their league. While I am incredibly excited to see some of the players, others I feel like shouldn't even be in the league (HayprO, qxc, Tyler being some). Their addition makes sense, I just don't like it and would have preferred they they reached out to players that haven't been interested in NASL before. But either way, stacked tournament. I wish there were still a teeny bit more Koreans (MC, Moon, July at least) but am indifferent to the absence of the rest of them. And I'm excited to see who will go into the Open/Qualifiers this season and how season 3 will look.

All say said is that they dont conntact Stephano because noone from Team Millenium has conntact them first (therefore tarson is also out), that GoOdy is somehow not reliable enough (what sounds like a joke in my eyes) and that Nerchio maybe plays another event (what not really explains why he can not attend season 2). I am not sure if we can call this good reasons. Whatever, its their event so they choose the players and its nice that they at least tried to explain their choice.

I think NASL is doing a great job replacing the Koreans so far, though we still need Artosis back! We haven't seen any Artosis play for a really long time, I bet he changed races yet again. Would really like to see what he has been up to play wise despite only playing on weekends.

Okay, Tyler won a set more than him and Haypros game difference is one point better than his. But they were in three different groups so you cannot really compare that so in detail. On the other hand, NASL has stated that they do consider recent results (see qxc, softball, etc) and GoOdy's recent results outshine the other two by far. a) goody was in season 1 one didn't qualify for season 2 b) goody is far from beeing a top progamer. I don't even understand why he got invited in the first place c) he did't produce any results lately GoOdy beats nearly every announced season 2 player in the last two month: White-Ra, Strelok, Dimaga, Brat_OK, MoMaN, MaNa,TLO,DarKFoRcE, Socke, HasuObs, Haypro,MorroW, IdrA, LoWeLy, NightEnD, SjoW.
