I honestly don't see any current BW pro switching over for at least 2-3 more years. Depending on how some of the B-teamer contracts go, I'd be surprised if 1-2 didn't show up on SC2 teams suddenly. Probably the older B-teamers, I'd imagine. The problem is that it'll take a bit of time before we'd here about the B-teamers shortly after they switch over, as they have to get acclimated to SC2 before producing results. There will definitely be a lag time between the time of switch and the first results in more obscure tournaments or in GSL Code A prelims. Heck, Silent Control from that WCG 2005 documentary has been on Startale for a while (according to Liquipedia), yet I've yet to see him in any games.
Puma switched to SC2 relatively later than other players, as evident by some OSL prelim game in late October on his BW TLPD. It was a long while before we started hearing word from players that he was a force to be reckoned with, and it was a while after that before he was thrust into the spotlight with his NASL victory.
GuemChi played SC2 for a bit under the radar during his temporary soul-searching "retirement." Aside form a single interview with Artosis, there wasn't much info about him until he suddenly switched back to BW and returned to Woongjin.
I'll be highly interested in the SC2 roster changes this month, but we won't see any significant competitors until several months after their switch.

Gogo Violet hwaiting! :D It seems that violet's treatment is going well?

Oh dear god. What if Flash tries SC2 while recovering from his wrist injury? I can't bear to think about it, it's too gruesome and brutal.

NA low masters players cannot get out of platinum on KR. That's why it is a difficult achievement, especially when gsl pros such as nestea and losira are also masters. They dont ladder grind though, do they. No the pros do fuck all on the ladder. Nestea has <50% win rate and Poltprime is in silver league. But my comment stands true. NA low masters can't get out of plat of KR.
Okay you're right about NesTea, but Polt is in masters and topped the ladder for a while in season 2.

The kings are ready to play GSL. Good luck to everyone else, because they're going to need it.

on topic: i think violet is just messing around. He'll definitely be back playing bw when he's healthy. quite some time ago during their break, iloveoov, stork and reach were playing sc2 as well but after the break they went back to their normal jobs obviously

This would be amazing if a lot of SC1 players switched over, but the only 2 people I want are Bisu, and Stork to come over so they can help revolutionize Protoss.

The SC:BW to SC2 dominance isn't assured. While there's a lot of carry over, they aren't identical. Which is why I said it's a matter of the contracts. If say a 22-24 year old B-teamer doesn't get much of any contract, I could see them switching, as they have a chance to make at least some money. Especially if they want to spend some time traveling outside of Korea. But it'll depend a lot on those contracts. We don't really have access to the behind the scenes pay information to the B-teamers.

Hang on, I forgot to fangirl in my last post.
OMG VIOLET ^_______^
|
It would make sense for violet to switch to SC2 seeing as it is easier to get into than BW and violet has been out for quite a long time. Would be interesting if he switches if KT will keep him.
|
Violet he first double player! WTF!!! that would be pretty slick if he tried for gsl once he gets health gets better

BETRAYAL! SLAY THE TRAITOR!

SC2 domino effect. Retired BW player 1 plays SC2. BW Player 1 invites BW player 2. BW Player 2 invites BW player 3...and so on.
