Steal? Steal how? Did you even READ the effing announcement?
And people: The true HuK fans out there should keep supporting HuK and Liquid, just as before.
It feels like EG is just wasting money. Without good practice partners at the NA house the other players there will not do ANYTHING. Now EG has to fund both a practice facility in NA and in Korea. I think they'd be better off just dropping the NA players and house entirely and buying some lesser known Korean talent for the same price.

How does this mean HuK will get worse as a player?
Are some of you really that stupid to think he can't practice SC2 still, living in a different training house? It's called battle.net ... That's how you play SC2 with people, even when you're sitting right fucking next to them or in the same room. He switches teams and it means he can no longer play with anyone in Korea but IdrA and PuMa?
Get a fucking clue, and chill the fuck out fanboi's.
Yeah you totally got the point of a korean training house. You don't think, having the opportunity to talk with people like MC face to face about strats/matchups may have helped HuK becoming such a great player?
Congratulations EG, Good luck HuK, and Good Luck TL. Finally getting that Korean gaming house, eh? Yay~ The only thing i worry about is skills dropping as they're only playing each other and have noone else to talk tactics with of their own race. But it is an undisclosed location, so maybe it will be a co-team house or something crazy like that! Thanks to whomever set up the game, it was wicked fun trying to figure out what was going on. <3<3<3
I love all the haters hating on EG. They did this the best way possible and they still catch shit for it. Some of you nerds need to leave your basement. Huk's contract was coming to an end so EG asked Liquid if they could try to negotiate with Huk. So they did and they came upon an agreement. Obviously none of you watch real sports because this happens all the time. There was no stealing involved. Huk obviously had his reasons or saw something that made him want to go to EG. Instead of hating on EG for getting Huk why don't you all look at the other side and see that Huk actually left Liquid cause he left on his own choice, not like EG held a gun to his head and said your signing this contract.
So awkward that HuK almost refused a picture at MLG Anaheim because I was wearing a EG shirt. Was his contract or signing of EG in talk at that point? So happy to see EG.HuK. HuK is my favorite player, and he now joins my favorite team (Sorry Liquid T_T).

Stealing? Both teams throw what they had at Huk, who really deserves this after what he have accomplished.
Aren't you glad teams are stepping up and compete for the players? Its a pretty nice spot for the player I must say, to have such choices.
I was atleast thrilles cause of this, really shocked, I never thought that Huk would join forces with EG. The 3 days hyping worked for me
stealing is semantics. they bought him out. they used capabilities liquid couldn't match, it could be argued that's stealing - "taking by force".

Anyone else think that Team Liquid willingly allowed EG to hype up this exchange for the benefit of the scene in general? If anything, it makes TL look even more awesome, as they are willing to allow fellow foreigner teams to hype up player acquisitions and overall create buzz? And again, one "steals" property, Huk is not going nowhere against his will.
willingly? what does that mean. if you are asking if nazgul was happy about them hyping up the taking of his star player then no.

Well it's also the announcement that IdrA is going back to Korea and that they're setting up a team house there. But I think noone expected a 600 page thread full of hype ><.
I guess that's true but I think it's purposeful planning by EG so they can hype both at the same time, knowing that hyping just the taking of huk would be incredibly rude. Actually on second thought maybe that isn't purposeful planning because that still sounds like something EG would do.

If liquid was signing idra, wouldn't they hype it for several days at least?
Maybe if he was a free agent who was looking for a team. If liquid nabbed a member of another team by buying them out (like that would happen) - they would have some tact about how they announce it.

No it's the signing of a new player. Should not matter which team he is on, plus they went about it the right way (contacting Naz). Can't see how that's scumbaggy. Plus they were also hyping that and IdrA back to Korea and the EG Korea house......
What does that mean? If they talked to naz it was just so they could buy out his contract, but I don't see how that has anything to do with how they announce it.

How did they steal him? They literally did this the best way possible. It is EG I guess and people are always irrational in their hate when it comes to them.
It's semantics. You've never heard "steal" used that way?
So Liquid stole Huk (as well as all their other players) when they signed him a year ago? And no I've never heard steal used in that way, that's retarded.
I thought huk was a free agent? And anyways I don't think you're getting it lol.
you've really never heard steal use that way? how old are you?
we're at the store buying cucumbers. there is one cucumber left. you see it. I run up and grab it. you: "you stole that cucumber right out from me.".
we're at an auction, we both want a puma doll. some guy bids 10 thousand. you make a gigantic bid, 5 million!
"100 billion!", I shout. I stole the puma doll from you.
Congrats EG and HuK. I feel like EG now has a top player for each race and I can only imagine the move to Korea will seriously bolster EG's reputation as a top team, not only in the foreign scene, but the world. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but I really love this step.
Special congrats go to HuK. I've never been a huge fan, but your development has been undeniably phenomenal and you definitely deserve this opportunity to not only grow as a player, but grow financially for all your hard work over the last year.
Much love to the people behind the announcement and by the way this was handled by all parties involved. So happy to see this happening and I hope people realize that whatever hate you have for EG's recruiting tactics is irrelevant. They have the sponsors and they're using them to invest in e-sports and its competitors.
EG fighting! (<3liquid<3 -- whatever cash you're not spending on HuK, spend wisely and rebound off this loss!!!)

EG did the completely evil and nonstandard practice in sports of dumping barrels of cash at one of the best available players. The nerve!
