There's been so much drama in the SC2 community lately. I can't wait to see how this one unfolds, though.

Am I the only one confused about what SC2CON even is? Have I missed something?

Afaik they are selected people of players/teammanagers/GOMmember

Someone PLEASE feel free to explain it a bit more what sc2con is exactly, and what they are supposed to do.

You guys realize that the SC2Con members won't be very good at English, and they'd probably at best have to work through a translator, which is why they would rather work with FXO's Korean branch cos there's less misunderstandings there, and even then there were heaps of misunderstandings. Imagine if they had to speak with the language barrier in place too, and the culture barrier too

That would be cool if those "conversations" were not at past midnight hour...

I think FXOpen shouldn't have used "SC2con" because they talked to only one person. Yes, that person is the sc2con representative, but like FXOpen stated one person does not equal the whole, even if he is supposedly a representative of it...it doesn't make much sense but I think that the representative's attitude was a personal vendetta and not a group vendetta.

When you're speaking to the representative of an organisation, it goes without saying that they REPRESENT the body for which they are representing, hence they are the REPRESENTATIVE.

As I gather from the implications in these statements, there has been some misunderstandings in the communication. Both sides are trying hard to maintain a somewhat professional attitude towards each other, but as I read the translated statements, the aftermath will get ugly unless the problematic person in question resigns.

As I see it sc2con is taking a confrontational and dictatorial approach in matters, when in fact they need to act as a diplomatic advisory or negotiation leaders in all matters.
Having any organisation imposing non-negotiable and specific demands upon their members seem unbenificial no matter what in Starcraft 2. You rather need support from such an organisation to get positive input on behaviour and interaction in any twist.

Every detail is not needed in order to form an opinion. "Pre-judge" is judging with no basis. There's a basis here. But thanks for the heads up, Coach lee

Seems like it is never SC2CON's fault. Unlikely.

A lot of misunderstand must come from the fact that SCCON can't really speak english and FXO can just post here in english.

That's why we always get Korea's side of the story late
