Koreans would never go without the invites, because they would need to buy all the logistics and the flights. Ganzi, Alicia, Rain, Choya, plus a few guys from FXO came to Anaheim without invites. rain was already in NA Choya got paid by FXO (he finished highest out of the fxo guys right ?) Ganzi and Alicia are from the richest team in korea If oGs can afford to send MC on his merry trips around the world, I don't see why IM can't afford to send MVP. Not to mention Socke, WhiteRa, Sjow, Demuslim, Fenix, Naniwa all flew to MLG as well. I doubt it's a money issue. Well, FXOBoss stated that the Korean scene was poor and it has been consistently mentioned throughout SOTG by Artosis and others in Korea that there's a big difference in sponsorships between Korean teams and Western teams so it's unfair to compare the two scenes in terms of money. Also, OGS is one of the more successful and well known teams which probably means more sponsorships and $$$. Of course, this is what I hear so take it as what it is, a secondary source and take a grain of salt on my words. I've heard the Korean SC2 scene is pretty strapped for cash too, but somehow I doubt that really applies to IM (5 GSL championships in one team?). I think they're just hesitant to pay for their own tickets when MLG/GSL are willing to pay for them for IM players.

Well, disregarding the Terran issues... clearly MKP is up for an invite some time soon. Nestea obviously too. Although I have to say at some point I kinda feel the Korean they invite should be a bit lower tier. Can't see anyone other than Koreans taking the win EVER if the level of invites keep up at that level.
And no, I'm not saying that no one can beat them... but if you need to beat mvp then bomber then nestea... you're fucked. And the mlg format obviously is a huuuge help to the Koreans with an invite.
Edit: just realize I came off pretty negative. It IS awesome to see such great players... would just like the playing field a smidge bit more even^^

I think the bigger question than the 4 MLG pool play invites is how many of those Koreans who are technically qualified for pool play will make the trip.
MMA Losira MC
Also Boxer if there's one who doesn't show up (which is likely)

That money is up for anyone to win. They are not ¨stealing¨ anything

MLG is not a charity for foreign SC2, it's a tournament for the best player to win.

Just invite BoxeR again MLG (I think they invited him right? If they didn't, he should just go again), it pretty much gives you 5 million stream views ezpz.
Clearly its KvK duh.

yeah im sick of them stealing our money by practicing a lot harder than all the foreigners (well, most) and winning events fair and square

Might want to change his ID back to "Fancy" for the plane ride.

Except that Puzzle is in Code S. Sage would be better choice!

Nestea would have to drop out of a gsl early most likely for this to happen, if the tournament runs in the same timeframe of the gsl as it has before. The problem there is Nestea can't lose before the round of 8, so getting him over here is a problem :p

Bomber MVP MC Nestea
Make it happen

Would be so sick. Polt needs to come over some time as well.

Cool to see Bomber getting a second chance. MVP played so well at MLG Anaheim and I hope he gets far in the next season of GSL.

Has MC ever faced Nestea in a tournament? That would be an insane matchup.

The most logical invites should be low/mid level Koreans who aren't Terran and are fan-favorites.
I'm hoping for Fruitdealer and Trickster.

I guess you've got to imagine that, of the players left to invite in addiction to mvp and bomber, it would be unlikely for it to be either:
Nada+MC (due to SK deal) DRG+Genius (col deal) Puma (member of EG now)
I also think that GSL isnt completely blind to its fan's desires and will prudently invite a Toss and Zerg player. If they can get Nestea im certain they will. IM dont have a GSTL match that Friday so we can be hopefull. From a Toss side of things, I immediately had thoughts of the Code A finalists Tassadar and Puzzle but im not so sure due to Zenex vs HoSeo game on the Friday. I might be being silly to take GSTL so much into account but I cant imagine either of these teams wanting such strong players being absent from their sides, especially as the game could be crucial for Zenex playoff potential and HoSeo's potential to even top the group... Honestly I could see Killer being invited and accepting purely because of his team's lack of GSTL game the days before MLG. Plus he is a very strong player with quite a strong foreign fanbase. I can imagine it would be prudent of GSL to send him.

Even Sundance has said he wants Nestea. If it's possible it will happen.
