she'll probably work for slayers and not actually play; similar to how Linda Lao did some modelling for razer and pretty much disappeared after that.
EDIT: I would love it if they trained her and got her up to grandmasters but if they really wanted a girl on their team, couldnt they have had a tourney or something so they could've at least got a masters player?

That comment from SlayerSJessica is really, really dumb. I read over about 3 pages of this thread at random, and there is an insane amount of idiotic sexism. But with that comment, the people who aren't sexist really have no ground on which to insist that the sexist people are wrong. If she's picked just because they think having a pretty girl will get them fans, then they deserve every bit of hate they're getting for it. If she really is a legit skill/talent/potential-based recruit, then this just means every early setback she has is going to result in ten times the hate it otherwise would have.

Not true. Considering the fact that masters consists of the top 2% of diamond it creates a limit on how many people can get in. Diamond in KR is without a doubt better than in other regions.

I don't doubt that she can get to be a very good Terran, with the amount of Terran practice partners she will get, but is Terran players really what Slayers need?

Maybe it was a slight misstatement on Jessica's part? Maybe that she was chosen because of skills and that her play looked good? Or maybe that she also looked good as an added benefit? Seems an awfully strange statement to make, otherwise.

Maybe because it was so new and nobody had heard of/found a way of recognizing it yet?
Diamonds can be smart, but ideas are conceptual, and a diamond player, even damn koreans, aren't going to go toe to toe in matches against their betters. I think it should be said that in Korea, the higher up you look in the ladders, skill increases exponentially.
