There is an article on playxp that stated that she was recruited for Slayers after winning a tournament against silver level players and that she was recruited because of her looks.

Well actually, I'm quite surprised that she's in diamond, which is mediocre by progaming standards. If she's in top or mid masters, she must have great potential, considering how hard it is to get into korean gm. IMO, slayers should have at least let her train for a few months, lets see if she can get into at least mid masters, then only recruit her and announce her as a new member and play for gstl etc. Now she is just getting a lot of negative criticism and attention, pretty bad imo.

This is bullshit, because of the sheer volume of posts on TL, it can seem like everyone becomes a "hater" when people mess up, but everyone gets that, it's not exclusive to females.
For example, when Rachel messes up in an interview or asks a bad question, everyone points a finger and laughs, when she does a good interview, there are plenty of posts of praise and support. There are always the few imbeciles who want to tell everyone that they popped a boner or that the bitch should get back in the kitchen but those are actually pretty fucking few most of the time.
Look at Lindsey Sporrer, on the first day, everyone hated her interviews and made fun of her. On the second day, she did some research, took the criticism, asked for questions and genuinely improved.
The worst thing you can do in my opinion is play the victim, "Booohoo, everyone's a hater" is the one thing that instantly puts me off, going back to the Lindsey Sporrer example, she didn't do that and so while there will still always be a few trolls, the criticism largely turned to support for her.
It gets quite old that when it comes to women in the community you're either labelled as a hater or a white-knight.
In regards to Eve, right now the only information we have suggests that she isn't very good so it's no surprise that there's some backlash, but let's try and keep it tame to see how she does when she actually competes.

Don't believe everything you read. All we know is she hasn't proven herself in high level play, which is no big deal. If she doesn't do well, that just means that we won't hear much about her from now. If she smashes face, then that's awesome.

Well it might be publicity but she might be the next Alicia. That guy didn't even do well in the SlayerS in house recruitment I think and they still picked him up because they saw potential. Boxer sees talent. Not saying this is or is not the case but we should give them the benefit of the doubt.
