My memory might be making it up, but I seem to remember being confused last time about players from the same group ending up in the same branch of the bracket.

Bracket play stops at the semi-finals, so to speak, and resumes in group play. Also because he got the 4th seeded Korean while group D got the highest seeded Korean. It's just the pattern the seeds follow edit: votes: Huk, Boxer, MMA, MVP

Kiwikaki and Select are perfect examples of this fact. Pre-Columbus they were finals contenders every MLG . -Columbus they both went like what...0-5? 1-4? Last MLG the only hope to crack this stereotype was IdrA, and he just folded under the pressure. So unless he figures out whatever it is he needs to figure out it will be a repeat of last time.

I don't see how kiwikaki and select can be examples... I guess you mean evidence? But even then, how are they perfect evidence? It's absurd to suggest that they lost to North Americans and Europeans just because GSL players were in the tournament.

as soon as GSL started piping their players over to MLG they pretty much own the event. I don't see any prize money staying on North American Soil. The amount of prize money at MLG is small, do the players/teams really care about the MLG prize money as much as they care about exposure from the event?

Idra also has a good chance of being number one in his group, which sucks cause I want Boxer to have a good time. the koreans win the other two groups unless they practice their ass off
