Also there was probably not a guaruntee he was coming back anyways, so giving him points might have been pointless. You are wrong here, actually. Think about HuK, at least. HuK competed in Dallas, and he placed 10th. He didn't go to Columbus. He still can come to Anaheim, ranked 21st in points. MMA did not compete in Dallas, but he placed first in Columbus. Unless the MLG point system is completely messed up (it's not), MMA would be ahead of HuK. He would easily get a seed. Anyways, MMA was the 3rd highest seed, behind Naniwa and Idra. Most noticeably Liquid team-kill and bumping HuK out of Group play, he'd have to crawl through the open bracket ![]() As far as the other Korean-dedicated slot, they could seed another Korean into Group A, instead of forcing them to qualify through the opens. This is based off of Xeris' information being spot-on, which there was no official word from MLG what the exact seed points are going into MLG Anaheim. Edit: Added Liquipedia link, thanks to Bladgrim for finding that one! Also note that the pools are permanent. If for some reason MC, Losira, Thorzain, etc... change their minds and attend MLG Anaheim, they will not be given their spot in the pool. They would have to play in the open bracket.

Only player I see taking multiple games off him is Idra but even then, no one cheeses like Boxer and no one tilts harder than Idra. Boxer also took down Idra 2-0 at the end of the NASL, one game of cheese and one game of standard play. Boxer as 1, Idra as 2 in Pool B. I agree. Also noteworthy, is that in the NASL, Boxer defeated Idra while playing from Korea. I'd be surprised to see Idra take a game off Boxer without a latency advantage.

Like others, I foresee another Korean top 3. If HuK or NaNiwa goes on a tear, they might be able to pull it off, but I doubt it. Regardless, I'm excited as hell for DRG to come play.

Complete waste of points, such a pity... -.- If he had used his points, Alicia or Ganzi could be in the pool play

Well I'm no MLG expert on points ![]() Yeah, I know--I was just wondering why it was they didn't give him the #3 seed. Other people think it's because MLG wouldn't have sponsored his trip otherwise... I'll ask in other threads, as well. Cheers
