Sjow's actually pretty good, although zvt is supposedly Idra's best Matchup.
|
I think Huk can compete with DRGs ZvP

Idra got a nice pool for him, only one protoss!

TLO should give away his slot to an active player imo
if DRG´s ZvP is as good as his ZvT is, he will win the group stage, but maybe HuK and Nani can beat him.
|
Huk / Boxer / Slush / MVP Those are my favorite for the groups, but I expect some OB players to show and wreck face in day 2.

Poor Boxer is gonna take first in his group, which is one of the easier ones. Only player I see taking multiple games off him is Idra but even then, no one cheeses like Boxer and no one tilts harder than Idra. Boxer also took down Idra 2-0 at the end of the NASL, one game of cheese and one game of standard play.
Boxer as 1, Idra as 2 in Pool B.

Should I set up a poll for Open Bracket Players people want to see do well?
ex. people like Thorzain, non-seeded koreans, etc?
Edit:apparently Thorzain isn't appearing at this MLG (I didn't know, I'm sure everyone else does )

And didn't they go like 0-5, 1-4 in Columbus? You know, where the competition was harder.

DRG has amazing ZvT, but only an Avg ZvP. Huk is on fire, and has proven that he can beat the best of the best. Plus his PvZ is his best Match up.
Boxer will also pass. His TvZ is some of the best, and has a strong Standard TvT. As for his TvP, that could use alot of work, but Incontrol is not that good. Not to mention that Idra crumbles to the Multitask style of Boxer and MMA.
MMA the only competent player in his pool is Ret, but MMA makes TvZ look imba. And Ret vs. Puma says it all
MVP has a very easy Bracket.

Have they release the open bracket players yet?
|
I'd be highly surprised if MVP and MMA don't finish first in their respective groups. Only an open bracket player might pose a threat to them. Dongraegu is a beast, but he is stuck in a group with the two best non-Korean protoss players and a zerg, so he will have to fight for first place. And finally group B lucked out with getting Boxer Nevertheless, he also has a chance of taking first place, even though it's slim.
