As for the lag issues, I play on both european and russian servers and I notice zero latency changes. Most of the russian ISPs work perfectly well with european segment so please don't worry about this lag stereotype. ps: Putin Vodka Perestroika

I've played LA players in many different games and there has always been a problem with lag. A lot of LA players also bm but I have met a handful that are cool. I personally am not excited about having LA players on the NA server. And don't just say someone is racist whenever you read something you don't like from someone you assume is white. He didn't say anything racist, he just pointed out problems that we've had in other games from LA and RU players.

According to SC2 ranks, these are the number of ranked players per region, something I think is rather interesting. There's a lot more players in most regions than I think a lot of people in this thread are aware of, especially RU. CN: 252,064 RU: 104,144 TW: 146,464 SEA: 134,515 EU: 865,572 KR: 519,378 NA: 1,102,948 LA: 56,862 Total: 3,181,947 It seems to me that Blizzard's FAQ answer to why the linking is taking place is legit, just to create more match making opportunities, and not to compensate for a dwindling amount of players, as some of the posters have eluded to.

English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and Russian servers (merge TW and CN for Chinese), then 1 global server for everyone. Awesomeness!

There were some other problems, too. A major complaint from the LA community when GM league was announced was that GM league was going to end up being larger than Master league, which ended up being true. This led to some Diamond players being undeservedly promoted to Master and then to Grandmaster which completely threw off the integrity of the GM rankings because players weren't able to keep their MMR in the expected Grandmaster zone. The effect of this was players couldn't spend their bonus pool and new GM players were rotated in every so often, but those new players had the same problems and GM league became a revolving door for weeks before Blizzard hacked in a solution and changed the GM offset.

This was a huge relief for me since I figured I was screwed although I did ask originally for it to just be swapped to SEA but they would only give me a full refund which can take up to a week for approval and transfer of funds. So I'm not upset about all this anymore! ^^ Can you confirm that? Quote? Screenshot?

The fact is that NA/LA servers are now located in the same datacenter, and if they are merged properly by Blizz IT guys, there should not be any lag issues. If you don't like playing with non-english speakers, well go fuck yourselves and welcome to the XXIst century.

I want BOTH my accounts; one of them was a Blizzard gift anyways(hail Twitter promotions :D), so I don't want any refund, I want my Terran-only account D:
