Everyone that puts Destiny on a pedestal is so blind. He constantly makes racist jokes and makes fun of black people on top of all of his other completely ignorant rants he habitually goes on.
I challenge any of his fans to take a look at him and objectively evaluate his character. He is an uneducated college dropout with an illegitimate child; moreover, he is a MUSIC MAJOR dropout. That makes him the equivalent of the demographic that he constantly berates (at the most) and uses racial epithets towards... assuming that you want to apply stereotypes like Destiny does.
The only reason that anyone would be a fan of this ignorant hate monger is because they appreciate him for voicing their own closeted bigotry.
Any team that would sign this embarrassment to the community is a disgrace. Good job on Complexity's part for putting a footprint on his ignorant hind quarters.
Maybe this will have a positive affect on him and he will start actually raising his child.
Personally, I find it hilarious that some people view him as a martyr for his own personal beliefs... no matter how misguided and unenlightened they may be. Any rational human being would discern his behavior as stubborn and immature.
He openly admits to signing a contract under false pretenses and yet, somehow, people still support him. I wish I was alive centuries ago where a person's word and signature actually meant something. Are you kidding me? I don't know if you're a troll or you are an ignorant d****bag. I can't even describe how ignorant you are. You know nothing about Destiny other than what people stereo-typically know him as. I'm not even going to go into detail in why your argument is beyond stupid. I've been watching his stream since May when he started in beta. I was moderator of his chat for the first two streaming websites that he used. If you think that I have not watched numerous hours of his stream then you simply do not know what you are talking about.
Sounds like the guy has credibility if he is who he says he is.

This is the failest, wrongest post in the history of bad wrong posts hahaha. Destiny won't sixjax for the same reasons he didn't really want to coL, and sixjax won't Destiny because Artosis.

first of all, affect->effect, second of all you need funds to raise a child and destiny acquires funds through streaming. Its ok to be on the fence about signing away major sections of your life to a video game team that requires you to represent them, and Destiny is a tough fit for progaming teams due to his general stubbornness, nonstandard play (not good to practice against random stuff that you'll never fight again), and attitude. Not mad, just wondering why you mad?

Leave progaming to those who can afford it, please.
He's going to get another job obviously.
What is Idra going to do when SC2 is dead? This could be extended to any progamer, regardless of family situation and is completely irrelevant to the thread, which, in my opinion, should just be closed since it's derialed to the point of no return and is just filling up with slanderous posts and stupid arguments that have been had 20 times by now.

I wasn't aware that language was a huge issues these days. We're all adults here. I enjoy watching Destiny's streaming, regardless of whatever he says. I watch him because of his skill level and just because he's an overall fun person to watch play.

Credibility is no substitute for ignorance and irrationality. His argument is unconvincing and unsubstantiated. Frankly, I'm disappointed that Destiny would mod someone like him.

Well Destiny is still a baller streamer regardless of what clan he is in. And that is what he is most well known for, and if he can still get by on it that would be awesome IMO.

Ho boy, sounds like someone whos never actually bothered to watch the stream.
What truely annoys me are people who don't watch, and assume from the discussion that Destiny does nothing but toss "bad words" around. That is not the case what so ever. I've watched Steven for awhile and I've never heard him say "the n word" unless it was talking about this debate. His other language is sprinkled around but never in a "Howard Stern" kind of forcing way. He just says what he wants. Idra does the same thing except he DOES go out of his way to insult people, but because he uses "nice language" its ok despite the things he says actually being quite offense and pointed directly at certain people.
ANYWAY, ON TOPIC. I'm happy Destinys off coL. I've never been a fan of the team, and Destiny makes plenty of money with his stream and doing his own thing. Destiny didn't need coL, coL needed Destiny. The only thing Destiny loses now (maybe?) is steady practice partners of high calibur, but he still has plenty of Master/GM level players to play with, and with Kiwi, SLush and Fayth on Reign, that option may very well be open to him. Destiny joining Reign over coL would be a big boost to their attenion and veiwership, and give Steven the practice partners he needs.

Destiny does not deserve that crap, he should go join Liquid or Incredible Miracles! HuK + Destiny = super trolls~ I could see him trolling Nestea as well, he could pretty much join and any team and succeed in it! gL in the future brohan!

I've yet to hear one person say "I watch destiny because hes a good StarCraft player and I can learn a lot from him"
You can learn just as much from a replay and playing games yourself... don't kid yourself folks
I actually have learned a lot from Destiny and I do think he's a SC2 player. I've learned to use the Infestor a lot more, I've learned better macro and micro tips and I've learned to be a better gamer. Also, he's in the Grandmaster league and that's enough to convince me he's good. He may not be as good as the pro's, but he's good in my opinion.

coL has had a history of unhappy players coming from their org, was never a fan of the organization in 1.6 times and am no fan of it now.

I liked Destiny better when people didn't think he was a progamer. Things would be so much better if he was still the unfeatured streamer called Steven Bonnell II and no one besides his fanboys knew who he was.
I mean, that way, he could do whatever he wanted. His viewers would like him more and everyone else just wouldn't care.

The difference is Idra doesn't have a child that is dependent upon his financial success.
Basically - if you don't have any dependents and love living the poor life - by all means - stream sc2.
If you want to make a living, I recommend a more stable career choice.

lol I wonder if thats a serious comment. As far as skill for Complexity I don't think Destiny was that big of a loss, they have better talent.
And I do not think many teams will want Destiny on their roster. Destiny talked on state of the game about professionalism and such and Destiny had no room for it and basically said he will never change himself for a team or an organization. That isn't directly quoted but he said something along those lines. That being said he probably won't want to join any teams that ask for him to change the way he streams and what he says on it or he won't last very long on the team.

I dunno about that. I think players like HuK and Jinro practice a lot. HuK is known to stream A LOT and almost or more than Destiny does.

IdrA is a smart guy. He said that if he hadn't gone to Korea during the Brood War days, then he would have major somewhere in the category of physics or engineering. He said that if the progaming scene doesn't work out for him, then he will go back to college. He got accepted into one when he graduated high school and had an agreement with admissions that he can come back when he wanted to.

Destiny is just a fun guy with a lighthearted stream showing off the game. He takes time and puts effort into his coaching. I've never really understood how so much controversy could be created over him. Regardless if he is on a team or not he will do just fine streaming and posting highlights on youtube. I hope this thread is closed because its just become a shitstorm of hate and harsh opinions. CoL will continue to be a tournament playing team, Destiny just isn't a successful player in tournaments yet but he will do fine in his current position.
